Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the color filter having a uniform spacer formed to sufficient height by providing a gate formed of a colored layer of a different color from a spacer top layer at the periphery of a spacer part. SOLUTION: A black matrix 11 is provided between pixels 10 of red(R). On the black matrix 11 formed on a transparent substrate 16, a spacer 12 is formed by laminating colored layers of the primary colors, i.e., blue(B), green(G), and red(R) from the bottom. The gate 14 is provided around the spacer 12. The gate 14 is formed of the bottom colored layer (B) among the three colored layers forming the spacer 12. The gate 13 can be formed more easily by patterning the spacer so that the part of the gate 14 is left. Therefore, this gate 14 suppresses the leveling of the top colored layer (R), so the color filter having the spacer 12 formed uniformly to the sufficient height is obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain color filters which are defectless and have an excellent display grade by setting the area of the contact parts of spacers formed by laminated layers of colored layers with a counter substrate smaller than the area of the bottoms of the spacers, thereby substantially preventing the occurrence of shorting between the spacers and the counter substrate. SOLUTION: The color filters used for this liquid crystal display element are obtd. by providing the surface of a transparent substrate 1 with a resin black matrix 2 consisting of a resin and a light shielding material and further, arranging a plurality of the colored layers 3 to 5 consisting of three primary colors thereon. Namely, the spacers formed by the laminated layers of the colored layers 3 to 5 consisting of the three primary colors are formed on this resin black matrix 2. At the time of laminating the patterns of the colored layers 3 to 5, the areas of the contact parts with the counter substrate 13 are so laminated as to be made smaller than the areas of the bottoms of the spacers. More particularly the adoption of this constitution is recommended when the spacers of in the area of the contact parts with the counter substrate 13 are formed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color filter with which a liquid crystal display element having excellent display quality and reliability can be produced by a simple method by laminating colored layers to form a spacer on a resin bracket matrix and on the frame and forming an insulating member on the corresponding transparent substrate side. SOLUTION: This color filter has a resin black matrix 2 formed as a matrix in the display area and as a frame formed in the peripheral part of the display area, and has a spacer produced by laminating color layers 3-5 having three primary colors on the matrix in the display area of the resin black matrix 2 and on the frame formed in the peripheral part of the display area. The color liquid crystal display element is produced by laminating the color filter and transparent electrode substrates 1, 13. Moreover, a transparent electrode 6 such as an ITO film is formed on the color filter. Not only the transparent electrode but a thin film transistor element, thin film diode element, scanning line, signal line and insulating part are formed on the transparent electrode substrates 1, 13.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To quickly perform permanent wave treatment giving little damage to the human body, scalp and hair while shortening the hair-fixing time by reducing and softening hair and oxidizing and fixing the softened hair with an aqueous solution containing transition metal ion. CONSTITUTION:Hair is reduced and softened with a 1st solution containing an organic acid having thiol group and the softened hair is fixed with a 2nd solution containing an oxidizing agent (e.g. bromic acid salt). The hair is treated with an aqueous solution containing a transition metal ion after the treatment with the 1st solution and before the oxidative fixing treatment or during the oxidative fixing stage to effect the permanent wave treatment of the hair. The oxidative fixing is preferably carried out in an oxygen-enriched air atmosphere and the transition metal ion is e.g. Fe ion and Cu ion.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a gas separation composite membrane excellent in separability and permeability and also having good durability, by providing a gas permeable polymer layer and a silicon atom-containing polyarylene oxide layer on a porous support. CONSTITUTION:A porous support having fine pores with a pore size of 10- 10,000Angstrom is used. A layer comprising a polymer having gas permeability and a layer comprising polyarylene oxide containing a silicon atom are provided on said support. The former layer has oxygen transmission coefficient of at least 10 cm cm/cm seccmHg and the thickness thereof is pref. 0.01-3mum while the latter layer is formed by using polyarylene oxide having an organosilil group. At least one organosilil group is necessarily contained per 1-98% of the constitutional unit of polyarylene oxide. The thickness of the latter layer is pref. 0.01-1mum.

CONSTITUTION:The permselective membrane consists of a polymer in which a main chain is based on polystyrene and which has 2-10 Si polyorganosiloxane groups as side chains. The polymer has, for example, a reccurring unit of formula I , wherein (n) is an integer of 2-10, each R is 1-10C alkyl or subst. alkyl, the groups R being identical or different, and (i) and (j) satisfy the relationship of formula II. The permselective membrane consisting of the polymer is provided on the surface of a porous film having micropores continuous in the thickness direction, whereby a composite film can be obtained.

Moreover, in the color liquid crystal display element of which the liquid crystal layer is held between the two substrates for the liquid crystal display element, at least one of the substrates for the liquid crystal display element is the substrate for the liquid crystal display element obtained by this invention. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the time needed for a liquid crystal injecting process shorter than before and to leave no air bubble by providing a liquid crystal injection guide formed by laminating colored layers on a black matrix used as a liquid crystal injection hole when a liquid crystal cell is assembled. SOLUTION: The black matrix 14 is provided at the peripheral edge of a color filter 12 and there is a part used as the liquid crystal injection hole 16 when the liquid crystal cell is assembled by sticking the black matrix on a transparent electrode substrate. On the part used as the liquid crystal injection hole 16, the liquid crystal injection guide 18 is provided. The liquid crystal injection guide 18 is constituted by laminating two or three colored layers. This liquid crystal injection guide 18 suppresses the generation of a turbulent flow of liquid crystal when the liquid crystal is injected, and consequently the loss of injection pressure (pressure obtained by subtracting injection resistance from the pressure difference between the reduced pressure of the liquid crystal cell and external pressure) is reduced, so that the liquid crystal can be injected in a shorter time than before.
