    Abstract: Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Bekämpfen unerwünschter Vegetation an einem Ort der Kultivierung von Pflanzen, wobei das Verfahren die Schritte des Bereitstellens einer Pflanze an dem Ort, die mindestens eine Nukleinsäure umfasst, welche eine Nukleotidsequenz umfasst, die eine Wildtyp- oder eine mutierte Protoporphyrinogenoxidase (PPO) codiert, die gegenüber einem Benzoxazinonderivat-Herbizid resistent oder tolerant ist, umfasst, und zwar durch Aufbringen einer wirksamen Menge des genannten Herbizids auf den Ort. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner Pflanzen, welche Wildtyp- oder mutierte PPO-Enzyme umfassen, und Verfahren zum Erhalten solcher Pflanzen.
