PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially applicable method for synthesizing a 2-(3-pyrazolyloxymethylene)nitrobenzene derivative. SOLUTION: The 2-(3-pyrazolyloxymethylene)nitrobenzene derivative is represented by formula I [wherein, R 1 is a halogen atom, or a (substituted) alkyl or alkoxy; R 2 is a cyano, a halogen atom, an alkyl, a haloalkyl, an alkoxy, an alkylthio or an alkoxycarbonyl group; R 3 is an (substituted) alkyl, an alkenyl or an alkynyl, an (substituted) carbocyclic group or hetrocyclic group, being saturated or unsaturated at one or two position(s), or a (substituted) aryl or heteroaryl group; m is 0, 1 or 2, when m is >1, R 2 groups may differ from each other, and when n is 0-3 or 4 and >1, R 1 groups may differ from each other]. The 2-(3-pyrazolyloxymethylene)nitrobenzene derivative is produced by conducting a reaction between the corresponding brominated o-nitrobenzyl derivative and a 3-hydroxypyrazole derivative. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate of an isoxazolin-3-ylacyl benzene useful as an agricultural chemical, and a new method for producing the intermediate. SOLUTION: A benzaldoxime derivative represented by formula III (wherein R 1 is a 1-6C alkyl group) can be obtained by reacting a corresponding methylbenzene derivative with an organic nitrite in an aprotic polar solvent in the presence of a base at lower temperature than -20°C.
