Abstract: A detergent composition comprising (a) 0.1 to 95% by weight of a saccharide nonionic surfactant and (b) 0.01 to 5% by weight of an antibacterial agent. The detergent compositions are outstandingly mild to the skin, exhibiting a high antibacterial effect, without influencing or weakening the cutaneous metabolic and barrier functions of the skin. The detergent compositions can effectively restrain the early occurrence of dandruff after shampooing when used as detergents for the scalp and the hair. They also exhibit high antibacterial effect when used as body detergents.

Abstract: Metal salts of monoalkyl phosphates of the following formula (I) in which each R represents a saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched hydrocarbon group having from 8 to 32 carbon atoms, and M represents an alkaline earth metal or divalent transition metal. The metal salts are particularly suitable as cosmetic powders, fillers for resins, and lubricants, parting agents and pigment dispersants for polymeric compounds. When used as cosmetic powders, the metal salts improve spreadability, moistness, smoothness, adherence, transparency and covering power of cosmetics. Preparation process of the metal salts is also disclosed.

Abstract: A process for preparing glucose-1-phosphate from an alpha -glucan and orthophosphate using a phosphorylase immobilized onto an anion-exchange resin is disclosed. The anion-exchange resin used is a synthetic polymer resin into which an anion exchange group; a primary to quarternary ammonium group, a phosphonium group, or a sulfonium group, is introduced. This type of immobilized phosphorylase ensures (i) an effective utilization of phosphorylase, (ii) a higher reactivity of a higher absorbance of the phosphorylase to the resin, (iii) an excellent phosphorylase activity retention performance, and (iv) a higher physical strength of the resin.
