    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a conjugate fiber of thick single fiber having a sheath-core type conjugate structure containing a specific copolyamide as a sheath component and polyethylene terephthalate as a core component with excellent durability, abrasion resistance, ink permeability, dimensional stability to moisture, etc. CONSTITUTION:The aimed fiber having a sheath-core type conjugate structure containing (A) a copolyamide of (i) hexamethylenediammonium adipate at >=5wt.% copolymerization ratio thereof and (ii) hexamethylenediammonium terephthalate as a sheath component and (B) polyethylene terephthalate as a core component at 10-70% conjugate ratio of the above-mentioned component (A) and simultaneously preferably >=7 denier single fiber size, >=4g/d strength, >=60g/d Young's modulus of elasticity and >=10 conjugate interfacial peeling coefficient.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composite fiber having excellent melt-spinnability and drawability, by copolymerizing terephthalic acid, 5-sodium sulfoisophthalate and a dicarboxylic acid at specific ratios and using the obtained copolymerized polyester soluble in hot water as a component of the fiber. CONSTITUTION:A copolymerized polyester soluble in hot water is produced by adding 5-15mol% 5-sodium sulfoisophthalate and 5-40mol% aliphatic dicarboxylic acid (e.g. adipic acid, sebacic acid, etc.) and/or alicyclic dicarboxylic acid (e.g. 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid) to terephthalic acid constituting the main acid component and copolymerizing the mixture. The objective composite fiber can be produced by carrying out composite spinning using the obtained soluble polyester as one component and other polymers such as nylon 6, polyethylene terephthalate, etc., as the other components.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain fibers having a high strength and dimensional stability without forming spherulites even when formed into fibers of thick denier used in plain gauge for paper making screens, by using a specific copolyamide. CONSTITUTION:A copolyamide which is a copolymer of hexa methylenediammonium with hexamethylenediammonium and having 5-40wt% copolymerization ratio of hexamethylenediammonium terephthalate component is spun to give fibers having >=8 denier fineness per single fiber and >=4g/d strength. The (co)polymerization thereof can be carried out in the same manner as in 66 nylon and a spinning process for 6 nylon or 66 nylon can be suitably applied thereto.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fiber having high stretchability and useful for stockings, etc., by carrying out the composite melt spinning using a crystalline polyamide as the low-shrinkage component and a specific polyether ester amide polymer, etc., as the high-shrinkage component. CONSTITUTION:The objective fiber can be produced by the composite melt spinning of a polyether ester amide polymer and/or polyether amide polymer (a high-shrinkage polymer) derived from (A) undecamethylenediamine and/or dodecamethylenediamine, (B) terephthalic acid and/or cyclohexane-1,4-dicar boxylic acid (essentially equimolar amount to the diamine component A), (C) a polyalkylene oxide glycol and/or polyalkylene oxide diamine having a number- average molecular weight of 300-6,000 and (D) a 4-20C dicarboxylic acid and a crystalline polyamide (a low-shrinkage polymer). No thermal decomposi tion, foaming or gelatinization of the elastomer occurs during spinning.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an elastic fiber having excellent heat-stability, light resistance and flexural fatigue resistance, by melt-spinning a polymer composed of undecamethylenediamine, etc., terephthalic acid, etc., and poly(alkylene oxide) glycol, etc., and drawing the fiber at a specific draw ratio. CONSTITUTION:The objective fiber can be produced by melt-spinning a polyether ester amide polymer and/or polyether amide polymer derived from (A) un decamethylenediamine and/or dodecamethylenediamine, (B) terephthalic acid and/or cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid (equimolar amount to the component A), (C) a poly(alkylene oxide) glycol and/or poly(alkylene oxide) diamine having a number-average molecular weight of 300-6,000 and (D) a 4-20C dicarboxylic acid, cooling and solidifying the spun fiber and drawing the fiber successively or continuously at a draw ratio larger than 0.5 times the breaking elongation of the elastic fiber.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled intermediately oriented yarn having a specific CF value and uniform quality stably at a high speed, by melt spinning a polyamide synthetic high polymer, oiling the resultant filaments, treating resultant filament yarn in a pneumatic treatment nozzle with compressed air, threading the filament yarn through a pair of unheated godet rolls one turn, and winding the resultant filament yarn at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A polyamide synthetic polymer, e.g. nylon 6, is melted, extruded through a spinneret 1, cooled and solidified in a cooling apparatus 2 and oiled in an oiling apparatus 3. The resultant filament yarn is treated in pneumatic treatment nozzles 4 and 4' between the oiling apparatus 3 and the final godet roll with compressed air under >=1kg/cm pressure, threaded through a pair of godet rolls 5 and 6 one turn and then wound by a winder 7 to afford the aimed oriented filament yarn having =4,500m/min.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A plurality of polyesters with the specified range in intrinsic viscosity are subjected to conjugate spinning under specific conditions into sheath-core type conjugate fiber, whereby fiber with high processability and pilling resistance is produced at a high speed by stable operations. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polyester of 0.6-0.7 intrinsic viscosity is used as the sheath part and (B) another polyester of 0.4-0.5 intrinsic viscosity is used as the core part where they are arranged concentrically and taken up at a speed of higher than 2,000, preferably 2,500-6,000m/min. The difference in intrinsic viscosity between components A and B is made less than 0.2 and the volume ratio of the sheath part to the core part is adjusted to 10-30/90-70.
