A power drive moves a movable closure (D) between an open position and a closed position with respect to a portal defining a passage through a barrier. The power drive can include an elongated drive member (34) connected to the movable closure and a ball nut drive assembly (64) for selectively moving the drive member longitudinally. The elongated drive member (34) can be a compound drive member having at least one gear or tooth-like member extending helically around in uniformly spaced turns about a core of the drive member to form a rigid or resilient screw-like portion (88) capable of being driven by operable engagement with the recirculating ball nut drive assembly (64). A flexible portion, such as a push/pull cable (90) can be attached to one end of the screw-like member to allow the power drive to move a movable closure along a curved or other non-linear path.

In at least some implementations, a cable control system includes a spool on which a portion of a cable may be taken up and released, an input shaft coupled to the spool, and a motor coupled to the input shaft to drive the input shaft and spool in a first direction to take up cable on the spool and in a second direction to release cable from the spool. The control system also has two clutches that allow rotation of the spool without corresponding rotation of the motor. Each clutch may have a first member coupled to the input shaft and a second member coupled to the spool and relative rotation between the first and second members of the clutch allows rotation of the spool relative to the motor or input shaft.

Wandelement (10) mit Speicherelement und automatisch bewegbarem Dichtelement (31,32). Wandelemente (10) mit Dichtelementen (31,32) werden bisher manuell entlang einer Tragschiene bewegt oder mittels angetriebener Laufwagen (12), die über im gesamten Verfahrbereich des Laufwagens (12) im Bereich der Tragschiene angeordnete Stromabnehmer und Stromschienen mit Energie versorgt werden, automatisch verfahren. Das Aus- und Einfahren der Dichtelemente (31,32) erfolgt manuell. Um Bewegung des Wandelements (10), beispielsweise mindestens in Teilbereichen der Tragschiene, und/oder das Aus- und Einfahren der Dichtelemente (31,32) automatisch und/oder unabhängig von einer externen Energieversorgung zu gewährleisten, ist dem Wandelement ein Energiespeicher (34) zugeordnet. Ein derartiger Energiespeicher (34) versorgt mindestens einen Antrieb (36) zur Betätigung der Dichtleisten (31,32) und/oder der Bewegung des Wandelements mit Energie. Das Wandelement (10) ermöglicht den komfortablen Einsatz von Wandelementen zur Bildung von Trennwänden.

A drive device of a slide unit having a guide provided on a frame and a slide part moving along the guide, which comprises a drive unit provided at the slide part and moving by inputted torque to transmit the torque to the slide part, a rotation member that is rotationally fixed to any one of the frame and slide part, a connection unit interposed between the rotation member and a fixed side for enabling the slide part to move by rotation of the rotation member, a bi-directional locking unit locking the rotation member for preventing bi-directional movement of the slide part in an intermediate state where torque is not inputted to the drive unit, and an unlocking unit unlocking the locking state of the torque direction by movement of the drive unit. The slide part moves by torque transmitted from the drive unit in the unlocked state.
