PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating and playing object based audio contents is provided to play object based audio contents by using at least one of a sound field synthesis playback method and a multichannel surround playback method. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for playing object based audio contents includes an object audio signal acquisition unit(110), a sound source position information acquisition unit(120), a record space information acquisition unit(130), and an encoder(140). The apparatus for playing the object based audio contents further includes an impact sound source emitting unit(150) and an impact sound source signal receiving unit. The object audio signal acquisition unit obtains a plurality of object audio signals. The sound source position information acquisition unit obtains sound source position information for a plurality of signal sources. The record space information acquisition unit obtains record space information for the record space of a plurality of sound source signals.

PURPOSE: An additional information signaling method in a quad tree transform structure and a device thereof are provided to enable each user to individually acquire information related to the 3D content which the user is viewing. CONSTITUTION: A transparent display unit displays at least one of control screens to control 3D content information or a 3D display device in a 3D glass unit. A transceiving unit transmits at least one of the 3D content information or the control screens of the 3D display device to the transparent display unit. A control unit displays the 3D content information or the control screens of the 3D display device by the control of the transparent display unit.

PURPOSE: An image encoding/decoding method and a device thereof are provided to reduce the bit numbers needed for encoding the division information of a target encoding block. CONSTITUTION: A decoder acquires the division information of a neighbor block to a target decoding block when the use of prediction division information is determined(S220,S230). The decoder predicts the division information of the target decoding block by an acquired neighbor block division information(S240). When the target decoding block is divided by the prediction division information, the decoder utilizes the prediction division information as the division information of the target decoding block(S250,S260).

PURPOSE: An image encoding and decoding method and a device thereof are provided to set a quantization parameter of an encoding target block, thereby performing encoding and decoding. CONSTITUTION: A quantization parameter determining unit receives block information of a decoding target block. The quantization parameter determining unit calculates a quantization parameter based on block information of the decoding target block(640). The block information is at least one of size information and depth information of the decoding target block.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for coding and decoding images using a skip coding are provided to removing an image noise, a blocking phenomenon, a quantization error, and aliasing by filtering a restored coding target or previously restored image. CONSTITUTION: A filtering unit(110) filters a restoration signal which is restored before a coding target signal. A predictive signal generator(120) generates a predictive signal of the coding target signal through the filtered restoration signal. A skip coding unit(130) sets the generated predictive signal as the restoration signal of the coding target signal. An indicator(140) shows the skip coding of the coding target signal.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for coding and decoding images using skip coding are provided to improve coding and decoding performance by omitting a residual signal generated by a difference between an original image signal and a predictive signal from a coding target. CONSTITUTION: An image coding apparatus filters a restoration signal which is restored before a coding target signal(410). The image coding apparatus generates a predictive signal of the coding target signal(420). The image coding apparatus sets the generated predictive signal as the restoration signal of the coding target signal. The image coding apparatus generates a residual signal based on the difference between the coding target signal and the predictive signal(430). CONSTITUTION: A frequency band division unit(110) divides a frequency band of an audio signal into plural sub-frequency bands, and an auditory characteristic information storage unit(140) stores auditory characteristic information on auditory frequency range of a listener and minimum recognition volume information for an audio signal of each sub frequency band of a listener. A low band compensating unit(150) controls the volume of an audio signal within an auditory frequency range based on auditory characteristic information to be maintained over the minimum recognition volume information.
