Abstract: PURPOSE: A vehicle fuel cell apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to precisely estimate an amount of re-circulated hydrogen in order to always re-circulate a predetermined or greater amount of hydrogen. CONSTITUTION: A stack(30) is formed into an aggregate of unit cells which generate electrical energy using an electrochemical reaction between fuel and oxidizer. A blower(50) re-supplies a re-circulated gas to the stack by re-circulating a gas discharged from the stack. An ejector(60) supplies a mixing gas of the re-circulated gas and hydrogen to the stack by re-circulating the gas discharged from the stack. A sensor part measures an operation state of a vehicle. A controller controls the operation of the ejector and the blower using a performance map of the ejector and the blower and the operation state of the vehicle. The performance map of the blower stores an amount of re-circulated hydrogen according to a blow rotation number and a pressure difference between an exit and an entrance of the stack.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A hydrogen exhaust system of fuel cell vehicles is provided to improve the performance and output of a stack by increasing humidity performance of a fuel cell by supplying water discharged from the stack to the air-supply end of the stack together with purge hydrogen. CONSTITUTION: A hydrogen exhaust system of fuel cell vehicles includes a hydrogen exhaust line(41) at an anode outlet of a fuel cell stack, a hydrogen purge valve(42) of a hydrogen exhaust line, an outlet line(41a), a vehicle condition detection unit, a controller and a valve unit. The outlet line is a hydrogen exhaust line of the backend of the hydrogen purge valve and exhausts purge hydrogen discharged by the hydrogen purge valve to an air exhaust line at the cathode outlet of the stack(10). The inlet line(43) is branched in the outlet line and exhausts purge hydrogen to an air supply line at the cathode inlet of the stack.
