Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to discontinuous reception (DRX) transmission. Embodiments of the present disclosure propose a solution for DRX configurations for point-to-point (PTP) and/or point-to-multipoint (PTM) transmissions. In this solution, a user equipment (UE) maintains separate DRX configurations for PTP transmissions and PTM transmissions. During active time for the PTP transmissions, the UE monitors physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a UE specific identifier. The UE monitors PDCCH with a PTM transmission specific identifier during active time for the PTM transmissions. In this way, it can match the MBS service quality mechanism. Moreover, it also saves power at the UE.

Abstract: Systems and methods for performing measurements of one or more cells during an small data transmission (SDT) procedure between a user equipment (UE) and a network when the UE is in a radio resource control (RRC) INACTIVE state are described herein. Beam and/or cell measurements taken during an SDT measurement period of the SDT procedure may be used to determine one or more respective cell qualities, among other possibilities. Beginnings and endings of the SDT measurement period, and the manner (timing) for taking measurements within the SDT measurement period, are also described. The cell qualities so determined can then be used to monitor, during the SDT measurement period, for a measurement event, which causes the UE to send a measurement report to the network having data determined using those cell qualities, and/or to send messaging intended to induce the network to change the RRC state of the UE.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may attempt to access an edge data network. The UE generates a first credential based on a second credential that was generated for a procedure between the UE and a network. The UE then generates an identifier corresponding to the first credential and generates a message authentication code based on the first credential and a count, wherein the count is associated with an identifier of an edge network client running on the UE. The UE then transmits an application registration request message to a server associated with an edge data network, the application registration request message including the count, the message authentication code, the identifier corresponding to the first credential, and a public land mobile network identifier (PLMN ID) of the network. The UE then receives an authentication accept message or an authentication reject message from the server associated with the edge data network.

Abstract: Systems and methods for enhancing the use of pre-emptive buffer status reports (pre- BSRs) in wireless communications systems implementing integrated access and backhaul (1AB) networks are disclosed herein. In some cases, an 1AB node can re-classify the LCGs of one or more incoming data flows according to such pre-BSR usage. This may involve the use of and extended medium access control (MAC) control element (MAC CE) having more LCG bits than previously contemplated, having sub-LCG bits, or that includes further LCG classification information bits. Other embodiments use a priority index for LCGs in an extended pre-BSR MAC CE. The priority index may include one or more of a priority field, a prioritized bit rate (PBR), and/or a bucket size duration (BSD) that is reported to an IAB donor. Other embodiments leverage the provision of additional grants from an IAB node to a child IAB node to reduce unwanted pre-BSR effects.
