    Abstract: In the present invention there is disclosed a process for preparing amines of the general formula I, in which Re1, Re2, Re3, Re4, Re5 and Re6 represent a hydrogen atom, alkyl containing 1 to 20 carbon atoms, alkenyl containing 2 to 20 carbon atoms, alkynyl containing 2 to 20 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl containing 3 to 20 carbon atoms, alkylcycloalkyl containing 4 to 20 carbon atoms in the alkyl moiety, cycloalkylalkyl containing 4 to 20 carbon atoms in the cycloalkyl moiety, aryl, alkylaryl containing 7 to 20 carbon atoms in the alkyl moiety or aralkyl containing 7 to 20 carbon atoms in the aryl moiety, Re1 and Re2 form together a saturated or unsaturated bivalent alkylene having 3 to 9 carbon atoms, Re3 or Re5 represent alkyl containing 21 to 200 carbon atoms, alkenyl containing 21 to 200 carbon atoms or together they form bivalent alkylene having 2 to 12 carbon atoms. The preparation of the above described amines comprises reacting the olefin of the general formula II, in which Re3, Re4, Re5, and Re6 are as specified above with ammonia or with a primary or secondary amine of the general formula III, in which Re1 and Re2 are as defined above at a temperature ranging from 200 to 350 degC and pressure in the range of 10 to 30 MPa in the presence of crystalline oxides of alumophosphates having faujasite structure, whereby this preparation process is very selective and provides good yields of the desired product.

    Abstract: The preparation of amines of formula (R )(R )CHC(R )(R )N(R )(R ) (I) by reacting olefins of formula HN(R )(R ) (II)with ammonia (NH3) or primary or secondary amines of formula (R )(R )C=C(R )(R ) (III) at 200-350 degrees C and 100-300 bar is carried out in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst comprising a type MCM-49 or MCM-56 zeolite. In the formulae, R = H, 1-20 C alkyl, 2-20 C alkenyl, 2-20 C alkynyl, 3-20 C cycloalkyl, 4-20 C alkyl-cycloalkyl, 4-20 C cycloalkyl-alkyl, aryl, 7-20 C alkylaryl or 7-20 C aralkyl; R and R may = an (un)saturated 3-9 C alkylene di-chain; and R or R may = 21-200 C alk(en)yl; or R and R may = a 2-12 C alkylene di-chain.
