Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the invasion of moisture in a sealed container, to connect with the opposite side pipe rapidly, and to improve the durability, by connecting plural pipes to the sealed container in which an ester system synthetic oil or the like is enclosed, and blocking the tips of the pipes with sealing plugs while forming grooves on the pipes. CONSTITUTION:A compressor is composed of a sealed container 20, a compression element 21, plural pipes 22 to 24, and the like. In this case, one ends of the pipes 22 to 24 are connected airtight to the sealed container 20, and the other ends are sealed airtight making into sealed plugs 25. And on the way of the pipes 22 to 24, fold-form grooves 26 are formed. Furthermore, inside the sealed container 20, an ester system synthetic oil 28 or the like is enclosed. In this case, the synthetic oil 28 is sealed by pinching with a plier after enclosed from an opening 30. The pipes 22 to 24 are made of a copper pipe, and the depth of the grooves 26 is set that the ratio of the remaining skin zt to the thickness t satisfies the relation zt=(0.3 to 0.6)t. On the other hand, a thermal contractible tube (not shown in the figure) may be provided to cover the grooves 26.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve volume efficiency and energy efficiency by extending a suction tube inward from an upper shell, with the outlet thereof facing downward, and disposing this suction tube opposedly in proximity to the inlet opening part of an intake muffler made of insulating plastic material. CONSTITUTION:A suction tube 5, rigidly fixed to the circular face of the upper shell 1a of a closed container, is extended inward from the upper shell 1a, with the outlet 5a thereof facing downward, and disposed opposedly in proximity to the inlet opening part 4a of a insulating plastic made intake muffler 4 fixed to a compression element 2. Refrigerant gas returned from an outside refrigerant circuit is led to a cylinder 8 from the suction tube 5 through the muffler 4. In this case, a suction passage to the muffler 4 inside the closed container 1 can be shortened to reduce passage loss. Also, since the suction tube 5 is fixed not to a lower shell 1b warmed by oil 30 and the compression element 2 of large calorific power during the operation of a refrigerant compressor but to the upper shell 1a, conductive heat can be reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the assembly workability by inserting a communication pipe of a suction muffler which is made of the material having the low thermal conductivity such as synthetic resin and communicates between an insertion hole on a cylinder head and a cut part on a cap, into an insertion hole of the cylinder head and fixing the communication pipe, having the cylinder head interposed, by an installation leg. CONSTITUTION:As for a cylinder 6 which constitutes a compression element 3 in an insertion hole 4 formed on the upper surface side of the cylinder head 4 of a hermetic type motor-driven compressor, a valve plate 5 and the cylinder head 4 are installed by a screw N, and an insertion pipe 7 is inserted. In this case, a suction muffler 9 made of synthetic resin (e.g. polybutylen terephthalate) is constituted of the upper and lower chambers 9a and 9b, and the insertion pipe 7 is inserted into the upper chamber 9a, and a communication pipe 10 is shaped integrally with the lower part 9b of the suction muffler 9. An installation leg 10a which is shaped integrally with a communication pipe 10 is fixed onto the cylinder head 4. A cap 11 is arranged in a suction chamber 4b, and the communication pipe 10 of the suction muffler 9 is inserted into a cut part 11c formed on the upper surface of the cap 11.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the clearance volume of a discharge hole so sharply by forming a circular recess in a valve plate, and setting up the discharge hole in a minimum thick part of this recess, while setting up a discharge lead along a circular curved surface of the recess. CONSTITUTION:A recess 2a made up of circular sectional form is formed in a valve plate 2 of a discharge valve gear 1, while a discharge hole 2c is formed in a minimum thick part of this recess 2a. In addition, a discharge lead 3 of a valve mechanism 4 is made up of a plate to open or close this discharge hole 2c, while it is set up along the recess 2a. Moreover, a discharge valve pin 5 is pressed in the valve plate 2 for tight installation, thereby supporting the valve mechanism 4. In brief, the discharge hole 2c is set up in the minimum thick part of the valve plate 2, through which the clearance volume is sharply reduced. With this constitution, refrigerating capacity and energy efficiency in a compressor are improved each.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To inhale a refrigerant gas quickly and much in quantity as well as to improve refrigerating capacity and energy efficiency by forming an inlet hole of a valve plate into an oval large-sized hole whose one end runs along an inner circumference of a round bore and the other side along a partition wall of a pressure chamber respectively. CONSTITUTION:A round bore 2 is formed in the central part of a cylinder 1, and a tip part 5 of an inlet lead 4 is installed in an inner circumference of this round bore 2 via a gasket 3. In addition, in the inner part of a valve plate 7, there are provided a mounting hole 8, a pass hole 9 for refrigerant gas, a discharge hole 10 and an inlet hole 11 respectively. Likewise, in the inner part of a cylinder head 12, there is provided a partition wall 15 which partitions off a high pressure chamber 13 and a low pressure chamber 14. In the above constitution, the inlet hole 11 is formed into an oval large-sized hole whose one end 11a runs along the inner circumference of the round bore 2 and the other end 11b along the inner circumference of the partition wall 15 respectively. With operation of a compressor, a large quantity of refrigerant gases are quickly inhaled out of the inlet hole 11.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To extend a life of a compressor, by forming a discharge noise muffler by a space defined between an inner wall of a closed case and a bearing on the opposite side of a motor. CONSTITUTION:A discharge noise muffler 16 is formed by a space defined between an inner wall 12a of a closed case 12 and a bearing 15 on the opposite side of a motor. With this arrangement, the heat of a refrigerant gas in the discharge noise muffler 16 is actively radiated from the closed case 12. Therefore, the temperature of a compressor is decreased, and the generation of an oil sludge is reduced. Accordingly, the reliability of the compressor is improved, and a life is extended.

CONSTITUTION:A crank shaft supporting mechanism is constituted of a metal bearing 20 formed of cast iron or aluminum and a thrust washer 21 formed of silicon carbide ceramics having an oil delivery groove 21a on one surface. Accordingly, a coefficient of abrasion may be reduced to thereby improve the energy efficiency. Further, a sliding characteristic may be improved to thereby suppress the occurrence of abrasion.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify structure of a part, by a method wherein, out of side housings, to which both ends of a cylinder are airtightly adhered, the side housing on the end side of an eccentric shaft is formed with a flat plate, and the eccentric shaft is supported in an overhanging manner on the opposite side thereof. CONSTITUTION:A motor operated element 2 and a rotary compression element 3 are situated in a closed shell 1, and the two elements 2 and 3 are disposed to the same shaft. An eccentric shaft 8 is placed to the interior of the rotary compression element 3, out of side housings 11 and 56, to which both ends of a cylinder 7 are airtightly adhered, the side housing on the end part side of the eccentric shaft 8 is formed with a laminar side housing plate 56. In this constitution, the eccentric shaft 8 is supported in an overhanging manner to the side housing 11, but since a radial force exerted on the eccentric shaft 8 is low, a hindrance to support of the eccentric shaft 8 is prevented from occurring, and the one of the two side housings can be eliminated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly by fitting the free length of the bias spring of a disk type high pressure valve which can be opened securely and rapidly, in a valve cylinder, and preventing its end part from projecting out of the end face of a cylinder plate. CONSTITUTION:A disk type high pressure valve 77 which can close a high pressure side inlet port 72 and a high pressure side outlet port 74 simultaneously on one end face while which can close a low pressure side port 76 on the other end face, is provided in a valve cylinder 75. Thereby, it is not necessary to reduce a clearance between a ball valve and a valve cylinder 75 on which the high pressure valve 77 slides as in the conventional case, carrying out the pressure drop of a low pressure side port 76 which becomes a driving force for opening the high pressure valve 77 securely and in a very short time. Accordingly, a stable valve opening operation can be obtained and, further, machining a assembling accuracy can be improved. Also, when the free length of the bias spring 78 of the high pressure valve 77 is fitted in the valve cylinder 75, since the end part of the free length is arranged not to project out of the end face of a cylinder plate 57, the valve 77 will not get in the way of assembling, thereby, facilitating the assembly.
