Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon-containing refractory having both excellent strength and thermal shock resistance, keeping excellent slag infiltration resistance and having sufficient durability. SOLUTION: The carbon-containing refractory is produced by adding ≤5 mass% fullerene in outer percentage and 0.5-5 mass% pitch in outer percentage with a thermosetting organic resin as an organic binder into magnesia based, spinel based, alumina based refractory raw material powder, kneading, forming and heat-treating. In the carbon-containing refractory, carbon nanofiber having 5-10 nm diameter and 100-300 nm length and is present in a bonded structure and the carbon-containing refractory is used suitably for a dipping nozzle or a long nozzle. Abstract: 軟化点が70〜200℃であって粒径30μm以下のピッチ粒子2を、粒径50μm以下の耐火原料粒子3の表面に担持した構成とする。このピッチ含有耐火原料1は、長期間保存しておいても、ピッチ粒子どうしが凝集して固まらず、常に微粒子の状態で使用することができる。これを原料配合の一部として使用することで、混合あるいは混練中にピッチが微細な状態で均一に分散する。そして製造されるカーボン含有耐火物は、耐食性が極めて高い。しかも、強度レベルを維持したままヤング率の増加を抑えることができ、低カーボン化した場合でも耐熱スポーリング性に極めて優れた効果が得られる。

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart a strength and spalling resistance equivalent to a magnesia carbon brick containing a comparatively large amount of graphite, to a low carbon magnesia-containing fire-resistant unburned brick containing chromium, while preventing occurrence of a carbon pickup and maintaining superior corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: The low carbonaceous magnesia carbon brick is obtained by adding an organic binder to a fire-resistant raw material mixture consisting of 90-99 mass% of a magnesia-based raw material, 0.5-5 mass% of a flake graphite, and 0.3-10 mass% of metal chromium and/or a chromium alloy; kneading; molding and heat-treating; and its fixed carbon content is 0.5-7 mass%. The magnesia-based raw material in the fire-resistant raw material mixture of this low carbon magnesia carbon brick is occupied by particles having particle sizes from larger than 10 μm to 500 μm by 20-50 mass%, and the amount of particles having a particle size of 10 μm or smaller is 5 mass% of the fire-resistant raw material mixture.
