Abstract: 본 고안은 상용차 현가의 보강재에 관한 것으로, 종래 상용차에 있어서 서스펜션 타워만으로는 그 강성이 부족하여 현가 조립체를 충분히 지지하지 못하게 되고, 따라서 현가 조립체를 통한 진동등에 효과적으로 대응하지 못한다는 문제점이 있었다.
이에 본 고안은 도 3 에 도시된 바와 같이 상용차의 사이드 멤버(1)와 서스펜션 타워(6) 사이에 보강재(20)가 설치된 것으로, 강판이 ㄷ 형으로 절곡된 보강재(20)가 형성되고 그 측면 및 하단에 용접프랜지가 형성되어 측면의 용접프랜지는 사이드 멤버(1)의 외측면과 용접되고 하단의 용접프랜지는 서스펜션 타워(6)의 상면에 용접된 것이다.
따라서, 서스펜션 타워(6)에 전달되는 하중을 상기 보강재(20)가 지지하게 되고, 이를 프레임에 분산시키게 되어 서스펜션 타워(6)의 강성이 증대되고 떨림등이 방지되는 것이다.-
