    Abstract: A fluid retaining capacity indicator for a reservoir tank of an automotive is provided to help a user to check the retaining capacity of a fluid with easiness, and to put a coolant or oil in a convenient manner. A fluid retaining capacity indicator comprises a reservoir tank housing(1) having an inlet(5) formed close to one side, through which a user pours liquid into a reservoir tank, and a removable cap for opening and closing the inlet. Further, two gauge projections(3,4) are formed on the inner wall of the reservoir tank housing adjacent to the inlet. Those two gauge projections are inwardly protruded with a designated height difference in a vertical direction, and are arranged not to overlap with each other in a horizontal direction. The gauge projections are attached with colored tags, "MAX" and "MIN", respectively, allowing a user to read the retaining capacity easily.
