Abstract:
PURPOSE: A packet forwarding control method for improving a TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) performance is provided to allow a user to use a smooth handoff method and a RED(Random Early Detection) buffer management method in a mobile IP(Internet Protocol) path optimization process. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal forwards packets received from a terminal corresponding to a first FA(Foreign Agent) to a second FA via a buffer of a base station. The corresponding terminal does not catch an access point of the portable terminal. The base station manages the first FA. The base station determines a forwarding process or a discarding process for packets based on RED state information.

PURPOSE: A method for improving the delay time performance improvement and energy efficiency of asynchronous duty-cycle MAC in a vessel sensor network environment is provided to improve a transmission delay time by performing a temporary synchronization method while maintaining the energy efficiency of asynchronous MAC. CONSTITUTION: Energy efficiency is maintained through an SNC(Synchronize on each Neighbor's Cycle) and an STC(Synchronize on Tunneling Cycle) function by using a cross layer method with a network layer. A transmission delay time is improved by performing a temporary synchronization method while maintaining the energy efficiency. QoS(Quality of Service) on a multi hop path is guaranteed.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A sensor network power saving method is provided to improve energy efficiency in a sensor network by managing data packets of a sensor node. CONSTITUTION: When a sensing time is arrived based on a sensing period, a peripheral environment is sensed. When a receiving time is arrived based on a receiving period, an RF(Radio Frequency) device is turned on and receives a state report packet from a child node. The RF device is turned off. When a transmission time is arrived according to a transmission period, the RF device is turned on and transmits sensing information for the peripheral environment to the state report packet of the child node. The RF device is turned off.

PURPOSE: A packet forwarding priority guarantee plan for improving a TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) in a mobile IP(Internet Protocol) packet buffering method is provided to guarantee a packet forwarding priority in a RED(Random Early Detection) buffer management method of a congested base station. CONSTITUTION: When packets of a portable terminal are moved to a network of a congested base station by using a smooth handoff method combined with a base station packet buffering method, the stored packets are displayed as priority packets. The priority packets are excluded from discarded targets in a RED buffer management method of the crowded base station. Loss packets are stored in a previous base station. The TCP performance of the portable terminal is improved in a mobile IP packet buffering method for marine telematics including a packet buffering method.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An RIO(Random Early Detection with in and Out) method and an RIO-DC(DeCoupled) method are provided to evaluate buffer management methods of AF(Assured Forwarding) PHB(Per Hop Behavior) by comparing a performance between the RIO method and the RIO-DC method. CONSTITUTION: Average transmission rates required by a user are confirmed. A predetermined bandwidth is allocated in each sub-class of a guarantee type service for the confirmed average transmission rate by dividing delay time according to traffic information in each flow. A variable value is set based on a buffer size determined according to a bandwidth rate in a network topology and each sub-class of the guarantee type service.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A fairness improving method is provided to improve link usage rates by improving fairness between TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) flows in a single domain and a multi-domain environment. CONSTITUTION: The yield fairness of an individual flow is improved in an integrated traffic management method in a differentiated service for a network in a ship. A TCP user uses AS(Assured Service) without managing user flows. The yield and the link usage rate are improved in a minimum bandwidth, a surplus bandwidth, and bandwidth shortage. The improvement of the yield fairness and the link use rate is confirmed in the improved single domain environment and the multi-domain environment.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An NRZ(Non Return to Zero) signal clock extraction method capable of using a two mode fiber is provided to perform the 3R(Retiming, Reshaping, Re-amplification) with the extracted clock signal by having a similar function with the previous clock signal. CONSTITUTION: An optical signal is modulated into an NRZ-DPSK(Differential Phase Shift Keying) signal through a modulator. The NRZ-DPSK signal is transformed to a RZ(Return to Zero)-OOK(On-Off Keying) signal through a converter by being constructive interference between the previous signal and the time-delayed signal. The RZ-OOK signal is extracted as an optical clock signal by being applied to a mode locked optical fiber ring laser through a circulator. The optical clock signal is a 10-GHz clock signal extracted from a 10-Gbit/s NRZ-DPSK signal, and the timing jitter is less than 1.6ps.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An ultra wideband dispersion MAC(Medium Access Control) protocol method is provided to provide a fair and adaptive QoS(Quality of Service) by assigning the optimal time slots about a traffic load status to the devices, provide a high allowable error performance about the queuing hour delay by assigning the maximum transfer rate to each stream if the traffic load is small, and provide relatively low data transfer rate fairly if the traffic load is big, thereby show the high traffic stream capacity performance. CONSTITUTION: A method for providing a fair QoS of a marine high speed multimedia service comprises followings: a step of one device in a beacon group, which is comprised of an arbitrary device and 1-hop adjacent node devices around the device, obtaining SoQ(Satisfaction of QoS) information of other devices in the beacon group; and a step of calculating SoQF(Fair Satisfaction of QoS) for all traffic streams whenever a number of traffic streams in the beacon group or a number of capable MAS in one superframe change due to a change of a wireless environment or a movement of the device.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An effective resource allocation method of a network in a ship is provided to maximize service acceptance capacity by guaranteeing QoS(Quality of Service) for an AS(Assured Service) for network in the ship. CONSTITUTION: An access control process is executed for a flow, which passes through a differentiated service router, for an AS sub-class including a random over-provisioning factor. An adaptive RIO(Random early detection with In and Out) buffer management method, which sets variable values of an RIO method, is executed by considering an in-profile packet and the whole packet based on a buffer size. The buffer size is determined according to a bandwidth ratio allocated to the AS sub-class and a network topology.

CONSTITUTION: AIS data of a vessel A and AIS data of a vessel B are collided in a fifth time slot. A nautical mark identification device transmits the fifth time slot to a land integration station. The nautical mark identification device transmits the fifth time slot by using a WiBro channel. A conversion unit converts AIS data into a WiBro transmission frame.
