PURPOSE: Design and implementation of an emergency evacuation system for a smart ship using a ship area network are provided to guide passengers to an optimum evacuation path rapidly as sensing dangers on a ship. CONSTITUTION: A disaster evacuation system of a ship includes sensing nodes, a middle collection node, and a main node. The sensing nodes include a sensor node and a guide node. The sensor node senses dangers on a ship. The guide node guides passengers to an evacuation path. The middle collection node processes collected information. The main node monitors information in real time and controls the middle collection node. PURPOSE: An entropy coding method of a compressed specific parameter for distribution voice recognition in marine environment is provided to add and transmit 10.07 bits as an error prevention bit, thereby preventing performance degradation of a distribution voice recognition system caused by packet loss during communication of the marine environment. CONSTITUTION: A distribution voice recognition system quantizes an MFCC(Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient) and log energy extracted in a corresponding frame. The distribution voice recognition system additionally compresses a sub-vector index of the MFCC and indexes of C0 and log-E sub-vector by using a Huffman table corresponding to voice classification of the frame. The system calculates differential information for the compressed index. The system applies differential Huffman coding to the differential information.

PURPOSE: A resource allocation method for a network in a ship is provided to relatively divide delay time guaranteed by each sub-class according to a buffer size required by differentiating the amount of a bandwidth. CONSTITUTION: The amount of a bandwidth allocated in each AS(Assured Service) sub-class is differentiated. Delay time guaranteed by each AS sub-class according to a requested buffer size is divided. An RIO(Random early detection with In and Out) variable value is set based on a buffer size determined according to a network topology and a ratio of the bandwidth. The size of an output link bandwidth, which is reference for access control, is set by receiving the RIO variable value.

PURPOSE: A distributed advance resource reservation method for blocking data collision in a wireless USB(Universal Storage Bus) network is provided to offer a new private DRP(Distribution and Replication Protocol) reservation method using a two-hop DRP availability IE. CONSTITUTION: A wireless USB host obtains MAR usage availability information from a specific wireless USB device. The wireless USB host collects three-hop range hidden private DRP reservation state information based on the obtained information. The wireless USB host selects a MAS slot which is not overlapped based on the collected reservation state information. The wireless USB host adds a beacon to a DRP IE by transmitting the DRP IE for a wireless USB channel to the wireless USB device.

PURPOSE: A method for improving WiMedia network performance for a vessel network is provided to prevent and solve new DRP(Distributed Reservation Protocol) reservation collision by using a 2-hop DRP availability IE(Information Element) and a DRP control field in a vessel network environment. CONSTITUTION: A DRP target receives a 2-hop DRP availability IE from 1-hop distance devices. The 2-hop DRP availability IE includes a bitmap field which is composed of 256 bits corresponding to an MAS(Medium Access Slot) in a super frame. When DRP reservation for a 2-hop distance device is possible, the DRP target sets a bit corresponding to the MAS as 1. The DRP target sets the remaining bits as 0.

PURPOSE: A network service quality guarantee method in a ship is provided to set variables of RIO(RED(Random Early Detection) with In and Out) again by considering the maximum rate of the whole packets in fixed time sections. CONSTITUTION: A buffer size is determined by being allocated according to a network topology and an AS(Assured Service) sub-class. The variable values of the RIO are set by considering the whole packets and profile packets based on the determined buffer size in fixed time sections. When the profile packets and the whole packets are arrived, the number of the profile packets is determined in the fixed time sections according to the number of the whole packets.

PURPOSE: A TCP performance enhancement method in a mobile IP(Internet Protocol) packet buffering mode is provided to improve TPC performance of mobile terminal flows when a mobile terminal moves to a congested base station of a new sub-network in a smooth hand-off method. CONSTITUTION: A buffer stores packets being lost in hand-off by each mobile terminal flow. A marker marks buffered packets in the buffer as priority packets. The buffer and the marker are determined. The minimum threshold and the maximum threshold are determined in an RED buffer management method. If a variable showing the average length of queue exceeds the minimum threshold, arrival packets are discarded according to probability. If the variable reaches the maximum threshold, all the arrival packets are discarded.

PURPOSE: An ultra wideband dispersion MAC(Medium Access Control) protocol method is provided to provide a fair and adaptive QoS(Quality of Service) by assigning the optimal time slots about a traffic load status to the devices, provide a high allowable error performance about the queuing hour delay by assigning the maximum transfer rate to each stream if the traffic load is small, and provide relatively low data transfer rate fairly if the traffic load is big, thereby show the high traffic stream capacity performance. CONSTITUTION: A method for providing a fair QoS of a marine high speed multimedia service comprises followings: a step of one device in a beacon group, which is comprised of an arbitrary device and 1-hop adjacent node devices around the device, obtaining SoQ(Satisfaction of QoS) information of other devices in the beacon group; and a step of calculating SoQF(Fair Satisfaction of QoS) for all traffic streams whenever a number of traffic streams in the beacon group or a number of capable MAS in one superframe change due to a change of a wireless environment or a movement of the device.

PURPOSE: A routing method for the efficiency of energy in a ship environment is provided to increase the efficiency of energy in a ship environment in consideration of the self capability composition of a sensor node and an application field. CONSTITUTION: A cluster is formed by the kind of data measured in a ship environment. Sensor nodes are classified into a cluster head and a cluster member within the cluster. A priority for data collision avoidance is given to the classification of the measured data. Connection information of the sensor node is routed based on the routing table in order to set up a transmission path. The routing table stores the bit map of 0 and 1.
