An image sensor includes: a depth sensor for generating a charge which is photoelectrically converted by the photo of a modulation reflection light which is reflected from a subject; a first floating diffusion node which receives the charge generated from the depth sensor: a second floating diffusion node which outputs the charge of a reflection light element without ambient light; and an ambient light removing circuit which is arranged between the first floating diffusion node and the second floating diffusion node and forms the barrier level of the charge transmitted from the first floating diffusion node to the second floating diffusion node in response to the ambient light. Therefore, a depth error property is improved by removing the influence of the ambient light.

PURPOSE: A sensor, a data processing system having the same, and a method for operating the same are provided to make multiple color pixels and multiple deep pixels a single chip. CONSTITUTION: A pixel array deeply includes a depth pixel(Z) and a color pixel(R,G,B). The first signal line group includes the multiple signal lines for supplying multiple first control signals(RG,TG,SEL) for controlling the color pixel. The second signal line group includes the multiple signal lines for supplying multiple second signals(RG1,DG,TG1,SEL1) for controlling the depth pixel.

A depth pixel included in a three-dimensional image sensor comprises a first photo-gate, a first light detection region, a first transmission gate, a first floating diffusion region, and a first compensation unit. The first photo-gate is turned on/off in response to a first photo-control signal. The first light detection region generates first charges based on received light reflected from a subject when the first photo-gate is turned on. The first transmission gate is turned on/off in response to a first transmission control signal. The floating diffusion region accumulates the first charges generated in the first light detection region when the first transmission gate is turned on. The first compensation unit generates second charges different from the first charges based on ambient light components contained in the received light, and provides the second charges to the first floating diffusion region.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, a sensing pixel included in a three-dimensional image sensor comprises: a photoelectric conversion device configured to generate an electrical signal by converting modulated light reflected from a subject; a capture transistor whereby a capture signal is applied to a gate, and the photoelectric conversion device is connected to a drain; and a transfer transistor whereby a transfer signal is applied to the gate, a source of the capture transistor is connected to the drain, and a floating diffusion region is connected to the source.
