Abstract:
PURPOSE: An organic solar cell containing a photoactive layer containing heterocyclic compounds is provided to ensure photoconversion efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A heterocyclic compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. An organic solar cell comprises first and second electrodes and photoactive layer containing the heterocyclic compounds, placed between the first and second electrodes. The heterocyclic compound contains 2,2",5,5"-tetrathiophene-3,3"-hexyl-dithiophene or 2,2",5,5"-tetrathiophene-3,3"-propyl-difuran. The organic solar cell further comprises a hole transport layer between the first electrode and photoactive layer. The photoactive layer contains an acceptor material containing fullerene derivative, perilene derivative, ZnO, TiO2, CdS, CdSe or ZnSe. The photoactive layer contains 30-80wt% of donor material, 10-65 wt% of acceptor material and 0.1-20 wt% of heterocyclic compound.

PURPOSE: An organic dye compound reduces the recombination rate with electrolyte, has high electron flowability as the planarity in a molecule is expanded, and maximizes photoelectric conversion efficiency at high Voc. CONSTITUTION: An organic dye compound is represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, X is selected from halogen, halogen-substituted alkyl, alkenyl, and alkynyl group; Y is non-existent or is S or O; Z is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-30 alkyl, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-30 alkenyl, a substituted or unsubstituted polyvinyl, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-60 aromatic hydrocarbon, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-60 heterocycle, and a substituted or unsubstituted amine; B is non-existent or is a substituted or unsubstituted C6-60 aromatic hydrocarbon or a substituted or unsubstituted C2-60 hetero ring; and A is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-30 alkyl, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-30 alkenyl, a substituted or unsubstitutedC2-30 alkynyl, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-60 aromatic hydrocarbon, and a substituted or unsubstituted C2-60 hetero ring.
