A composition for treatment of breast cancer is provided to investigate anti-cancer capability and mechanism in MCF-7 breast cancer cell using alpha-eleostearic acid. A composition for treatment of breast cancer includes alpha-eleostearic acid to active ingredient. A remedial method of disease at cancer cell line includes a step of processing the alpha-eleostearic acid of a therapeutically effective amount to the cancer cell line and prevents, suppresses or improves pathology or symptom of diseases by adjustment of PPAR gamma activity or phosphorylation of ERK1/2.

The present invention relates to a fluorescent dye-labeled glucose analog, and a synthesis method and usage of the same, and more particularly, to novel glucose α and &bgr; anomers in which a fluorescent dye is labeled by O-1-glycosylation, an asymmetric synthesis method of the anomers, a molecular bioimaging method of the anomers, and a screening method of curing or preventing drugs for diseases related to glucose metabolism.

A novel viral gene carrier is provided to deliver a gene specifically to tumor cells by controlling the gene delivery efficiency with low cytotoxicity and high stability and having higher transduction efficiency to a receptor positive KB cell. A viral gene carrier is characterized in that it is prepared by modifying the surface of a recombinant baculovirus vector including a green fluorescent protein, luciferase or a PDCD4 (programmed cell death 4) gene using a folate-polyethylene glcyol conjugate. A method for preparing the viral gene carrier comprises the steps of: (a) preparing the recombinant baculovirus vector; (b) preparing the folate-polyethylene glycol conjugate; and (c) modifying the recombinant baculovirus vector surface with the folate-polyethylene glycol conjugate.

A simultaneous detection apparatus of Raman and light scattering is provided to analyze information on nano material and its molecules by simultaneously detecting Raman scattering and light scattering of one sample. A simultaneous detection apparatus of Raman and light scattering includes a laser generator(110), a Raman scattering detector(120), a dynamic light scattering detector, a spectrometer(140), and a computer(150). The laser generator generates a laser beam of 514.5nm Ar-ion as incident light. The incident light passes through a light condensing lens(112) and is reflected from a plane mirror(111) to enter the Raman scattering detector. The Raman scattering detector has a notch filter(121), an objective lens(123), and a first collecting lens(125). When the light reflected from the plane mirror enters a sample, the light is scattered while some of the light is collected again by the objective lens. Raman scattering light is transmitted to the spectrometer by the first collecting lens. The spectrometer detects the spectrum of the Raman scattering light. The dynamic light scattering detector, arranged at an angle of 90 degrees with respect to the incident light, has a second collecting lens(131), an iris(132), and a PMT(Photomultiplier Tube) detector(133). The computer is connected to the dynamic light scattering detectors, performs an autocorrelation function to measure the size and distribution of particles, and measures molecular structure.

PURPOSE: A poly(ester amine)/DNA complex for non-viral DNA carrier is provided to ensure poly(ester amine)-controlled resolution, low cytotoxin, and high transfection efficiency, to be useful as an effective polymer carrier, and to exhibit big potential in intercellular gene transfer. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a poly(ester amine) polymer comprises the steps of: respectively dissolving glyceroldimethylacrylate or glyceroltrimethylacrylate and low molecular polyethylenimine (molecular weight 200-3,000) in methanol anhydride and then adding a glycerol dimethylacrylate solution to a polyethylenimine solution and mixing them; stirring and heating the mixed solution at 50-70 °C for 12-36 hours; dialyzing the mixture for 2-5 hours to 12-36 hours; and then lyophilizing the obtained polymer.

A glucose derivative is provided to show excellent capability as a glucose absorption tracer compared to a conventional 2-NBDG and monitor the glucose absorption in a normal culture medium state, thereby being usefully used for molecular imaging, bio-analysis, and screening a drug for treating or preventing glucose metabolism related diseases. A glucose derivative labeled with a fluorescent dye is represented by a formula(1) or (2), wherein R1 is -(CH2)n-NH- or -(CH2)n-NH-(C2H4X)m-NH-(wherein n is an integer from 1 to 10, m is an integer from 1 to 100, and X may be same or different from one another when the m is at least 2 and X is CH2, O or a single bond); R2 is a fluorescent dye; and Y is O or S. A method for synthesizing the glucose derivative of the formula(1) or (2) is characterized in that the fluorescent dye is labeled through O-1-glycosylation. A method for molecular imaging is characterized in that the glucose derivative labeled with the fluorescent dye is used as a bio-probe. A method for high throughput screening of a drug for treating or preventing glucose metabolism related diseases is characterized in that the glucose derivative labeled with the fluorescent dye is used as a probe.
