    Abstract: A non-aqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery is provided to impart excellent cycle characteristics to a battery having a cut-off voltage of 4.4V while maintaining the quality of the battery. A non-aqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery comprises an organic solvent, a lithium salt, and at least one trifluoroalkyl benzene represented by the following formulae 1 and 2. The bistrifluoroalkyl benzene is used in an amount of 0.01-50 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the organic solvent.
