    Abstract: 본 고안의 목적은 인젝터로부터 분사되는 연료가 배기포트측으로 확산되는 것을 차단하고 강한 와류를 일으켜 스파크 플러그 주변에 고르고 농후한 혼합기를 형성하므로써 화염전파 특성이 개선되어 희박연소를 가능케 하는 직접분사 엔진용 피스톤을 제공하는 데 있다.
    상기한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 고안은 인젝터를 통하여 연소실에 연료를 직접 분사하는 직접분사 엔진용의 피스톤에 있어서, 상기 피스톤의 상부면은 흡기측과 배기측을 경사지게 돌출시킨 크라운부를 형성하고 상기 크라운부의 흡기측 경사면에는 보울형 연소실을 형성하며 배기측 경사면에는 2개의 작은 요홈을 형성한 것을 특징으로 한다.

    Abstract: An engine of a vehicle is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost by forming a branching unit and a combining unit at an inner portion of a cylinder block and a cylinder head. An engine of a vehicle comprises a cylinder head(10) and a cylinder block(20). The cylinder head is formed therein with a plurality of branching units(40) which are communicated with exhaust ports of an engine. The cylinder block is coupled to a lower end of the cylinder head and is communicated with at least one of the branching units. A combining unit(50) is accommodated in the cylinder block to discharge exhaust gas generated from the engine. The branching units are communicated with the combining unit to discharge the exhaust gas.
