    Abstract: An apparatus for preventing ash from being accumulated in a diesel particulate filter is provided to maintain initial filtering performance although a diesel particulate filter is used for a long time. An apparatus for preventing ash from being accumulated in a diesel particulate filter comprises a diesel particulate filter body(11), plugs(20) and an elastic member(50). The elastic member applies elastic force to the plugs toward the diesel particulate filter body. An actuator(40) shifts the plugs in the opposite direction of the diesel particulate filter body to release coupling between the plugs and the diesel particulate filter body. The plugs are installed on a plug plate(30). The actuator and the elastic member are connected with the plug plate to transfer the elastic force to the plug plate or to shift the plug plate.
