Abstract: PURPOSE: An expansion valve system of an air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to prevent lack of power while keeping the air conditioner working when the vehicle runs on an inclined road by reducing load on a compressor. CONSTITUTION: An expansion valve system includes an expansion valve assembly(26) placed between a condenser and an evaporator(100) to control amount of refrigerant by controlling opening degree thereof; a thermostatic barrel(200) installed on a discharge side tube of the evaporator, connected with the expansion valve assembly through a capillary(27), and having gas therein expanded or contracted depending on temperature of the evaporator to control opening degree of the expansion valve assembly; and a pressurizing unit minimizing opening degree of the expansion valve assembly when the vehicle runs on an inclined road. The pressurizing unit comprises an ECU(20) sensing whether an air conditioner is switched on, and determining whether the vehicle runs on the inclined road by comparing speed of the vehicle, opening degree of an accelerator and RPM of an engine with reference values; a heater(22) generating heat depending on signal of the ECU; and an auxiliary thermostatic barrel(23) connected with the capillary through an auxiliary capillary(24), and having gas therein expanded by heat of the heater.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A vehicle cooling system is provided to prevent deficiency of engine power by reducing load of compressor when the maximum engine output is needed. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle cooling system comprises a compressor; a condenser; an expansion valve(120); an evaporator(118); a liquid receiver; a temperature sensing unit(124); an auxiliary temperature sensing unit(132) which is installed at the entrance of the evaporator and connected to an intermediate portion of a capillary(122) through an auxiliary capillary(134); and a check valve(136) arranged at the auxiliary capillary so as to open/shut the auxiliary capillary. The check valve is open/shut by a relay(138) which operates by the signal output from an electronic control unit(140). The refrigerant passing through the evaporator has a pressure and a temperature which become significantly high at the exit of the evaporator. As a result, refrigerant having the high temperature and pressure is introduced into the compressor, thus reducing load of compressor.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for dropping a fuel temperature is provided to efficiently drop the temperature through lowering pressure by adjusting an orifice and vertically transferring a piston by shrinking and expanding a diaphragm according to a detected temperature. CONSTITUTION: A cooling unit body(1) contains a fuel supply unit(2) and a fuel discharge unit(3). A temperature sensor(4) is attached on the discharge unit. A diaphragm(5) is installed at an upper portion of the cooling unit body for being shrunk and expanded according to the temperature detected in the sensor. Space units(6,7) are formed between the diaphragm and a piston(8), and at a lower portion of the cooling unit body. The piston is supported by a spring(9) while integrally connecting a support rod(10) for opening and closing an orifice(12). In case of increase in temperature of a return line(11), the diaphragm is bent to downward for pushing down fuel in the first space unit(6). Therefore, the piston is operated to downward while reducing a gap of the orifice. In case of high pressure fuel in the second space unit(7) discharged through the orifice, the pressure is dropped for lowering temperature.
