Abstract: 본 발명은 경량화 소재의 표면 글레이징 성형방법 및 그 방법에 의해 제조된 경량화 소재에 관한 것으로, 준비된 경량화 소재용 원료를 금형에 충진하는 단계; 스팀발생기로부터 발생된 스팀을 공급하여 원료를 용융시키는 단계; 냉각기로부터 생성된 냉각수를 공급하여 냉각하는 단계; 이형하는 단계를 포함하는 경량화 소재의 표면 글레이징 성형방법에 있어서; 상기 금형에는 그 둘레를 따라 다수 배열된 터널이 형성되고, 표면부를 제외한 이면부에만 스팀 및 냉각수 분사용 캡이 설치되고; 상기 스팀발생기로부터 공급된 고온/고압의 스팀을 상기 표면부측 터널로 1차 공급하여 표면을 글레이징시키며; 1차 공급 후 1차보다 상대적으로 낮은 온도와 압력으로 유지되는 스팀을 표면부로 2차 공급하여 가열하면서 내면부로 공급하여 가열하고, 이후 양면 가열하는 형태로 가열하여 원료를 내부에서 융착시키고; 가열 완료 후 상기 터널을 통해 냉각수를 공급하되 1차적으로 표면부를 10~15초 내에 40~60℃까지 단시간에 급냉시키도록 하고, 이후 2차적으로 50~60초까지 양쪽을 모두 냉각하는 것을 특징으로 하는 경량화 소재의 표면 글레이징 성형방법을 제공한다.
본 발명에 따르면, 경량화 소재(EPP)의 표면 글레이징을 통해 단일 소재만으로도 시각적, 촉각적으로 미려한 외관을 확보할 수 있어 사용범위가 확대되고, 한번의 성형으로 표면 글레이징이 가능하여 작업공수, 시간, 단가를 낮출 수 있으며, 중량 절감에 따른 경량화를 더욱 촉진시킬 수 있고, 충분한 강성과 단열/보온 기능도 함께 갖는 경량화 소재를 얻을 수 있다.
