PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel polyamide which is excellent in handleability, heat resistance, and film-forming properties, and which exhibits little coloration.SOLUTION: A polyamide which contains a unit represented by formula (I) as an indispensable unit is used (wherein each of X, Y, and Z represents a 1-10C alkyl group etc. optionally substituted by a halogen atom, k represents a figure of 0-4, p represents a figure of 0-8, r represents a figure of 0-4, x represents a figure of 0-4, y represents a figure of 0-4, and the sum total of figures of x and y is 2-4).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable resin composition having excellent handling properties and shelf stability and to provide a cured product having excellent low discoloration properties and a high refractive index.SOLUTION: The curable resin composition comprises both an epoxy compound represented by general formula (I) and an energy-ray-sensitive cationic-polymerization initiator. In general formula (I), X, Y and Z are each a 1-10C alkyl group or the like which may be substituted with a halogen atom, k is a number of 0 to 4; p is a number of 0 to 8; r is a number of 0 to 4; n is 0 to 10; x is a number of 0 to 4, and y is a number of 0 to 4, the sum of x and y is 2 to 4; and an optical isomer existing when n is not 0 can take the form of any optical isomer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a liquid crystal display unit provided with a projection for controlling orientation having a satisfactory cross sectional shape for achieving excellent electric characteristics for preventing the occurrence of an afterimage and a wide angle of visibility and to provide the liquid crystal display unit equipped with this substrate. SOLUTION: In this substrate for the liquid crystal display unit provided with a light transmissive raw material and the projection for controlling liquid crystal splitting orientation, the projection is formed by the alkaline development type photosensitive resin composition prepared by mixing photopolymerization initiator with the alkaline development resin composition having dielectric loss tangent of 0.008 or less in any frequency of 10-50 Hz. This alkaline development resin composition is prepared by containing a photopolymerization unsaturated compound having a chemical structure obtained by esterifying polybasic acid anhydride with epoxy additive having a chemical structure obtained by adding unsaturated-basic acid to epoxy resin.
