Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a method capable of cost-effectively and efficiently execut ing fluidization treatment of crude refuse without adding water to the crude refuse. CONSTITUTION:This method for fluidization treatment of the crude refuse comprises heating the crude refuse and holding the crude refuse under a pressure above the satd. steam pressure of the heating temp. The method is preferably executed in the presence of an alkaline material. The temp. and pressure are held at a heating temp of 175 to 225 deg.C and pressure of 20 to 60atm. The time of 5 to 10 minutes suffices.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently transport and store org. sludge by fluidizing a caked org. sludge at a specified temp. and the pressure above the saturated steam pressure at that temp., transporting and storing the fluidized material. CONSTITUTION:A concd. org. sludge is introduced into a dehydrator 1, and the dehydrated sludge is introduced into a fluidizer 2 which is a heat-exchange reactor. A heating medium is introduced from a line 15, and the org. sludge is preheated in the fluidizer. The preheated sludge is supplied to a line 16 in the fluidizer and heated to the reaction temp. by the heating medium discharged from a line 21. In this case, the reaction temp. is controlled to >=150 deg.C, and the reaction pressure is adjusted above the saturated steam pressure at the reaction temp. The fluidized material is introduced into a cooler 3 and cooled by the heating medium from a line 20, and the heating medium is passed through the line 15 to heat the fluidizer 2. The fluidized material is then transferred to the treating equipment by a feed pump 6 or transported to the remote sludge treating equipment.

The microalga is liquefied to a heavy oil-like substance by this treatment to obtain a liquid fuel usable as a substitute for fossil fuels.
