Abstract: A fifth-generation core network (5GC) provides 5G radio access network (RAN) services to a user equipment (UE) in a time-sensitive communications (TSC) network (TSN). This includes receiving a protocol data unit (PDU) session establishment request from the UE, the PDU session establishment request including an industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) vertical or application type, identifying a TSN application function (AF) relating to the IIoT vertical or application type, determining quality of service (QoS) parameters for communications between the UE and the 5G RAN based on the identified TSN AF, the QoS parameters including a survival time for the IIoT vertical or application type and establishing a PDU session with the UE when the QoS parameters including the survival time are satisfied.

Abstract: Emergency services support is indicated to roaming devices in a wireless network. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message from the wireless network indicating at least one public land mobile network (PLMN) that provides emergency services support for devices in limited service. The UE may store, in a non-volatile memory (NVM), an identifier of the at least one PLMN in a whitelist of limited service emergency services support. In response to a trigger in a roaming limited service condition of the UE, the UE may establish an emergency session with a selected PLMN based on the whitelist of limited service emergency services support.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for UL traffic throughput enhancements in NSA deployments. A UE may determine that an UL data requirement is substantially greater than a DL data requirement. The UE may perform an UL enhancement procedure based on UL enhancement conditions. The UL enhancement conditions may include determining that a master cell group does or does not operate according to LTE, determining that UL data traffic is only carried via LTE bands or that UL data traffic is split between LTE bands and NR bands, determining that UL carrier aggregation is or is not available, and/or determining that blind secondary cell group addition is supported or is not support by a network. Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE), manufacturer server, and/or cellular network to perform radio capability signaling. A new type of UE radio capability identifier is provided which may allow a network to distinguish between similar UEs that have or have not implemented a capability update. In order to perform a forced capability update, a manufacturer may issue information about the update to a cellular network (and receive acknowledgement of the information) prior to pushing the update to UEs. In response to an unforced capability update, a cellular network may maintain multiple UE radio capability identifiers for similar UEs which have or have not implemented the update. A UE radio capability identifier may be adjusted dynamically in response to temporary changes in the UE's capability.

Abstract: The present application relates to improving a roaming service. In an example, a home network of a user equipment (UE) defines a first set of UE route selection policy (URSP) rules for managing traffic of the UE when connected to the home network. While roaming, the UE is connected to a visited network. Based on the first set of URSP rules and guidance information of the visited network indicating one or more URSP rules that the visited network can support for the UE, the home network defines a second set of URSP rules for managing traffic of the UE while roaming. The home network sends, via the visited network, the second set of URSP rules to the UE as rule information for use by the UE while connected to the visited network.
