Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous polymer dispersion for a moisture-proof layer. SOLUTION: This aqueous polymer dispersion has, as its dispersed polymer, a radical-polymerized polymer comprising 20-65 mass% at least a vinyl aromatic monomer (monomer A), 30-75 mass% at least a monomer (monomer B) having two conjugated ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and 0.5-10 mass% at least one other monomer (monomer C) selected from the group consisting of α,β-monoethylenically unsaturated mono- and di-carboxylic acids and their ester derivatives, and the quantity of its alkali metal ion GA is not less than 0.5 mass% of the mass of the dispersed polymer, and the pH of the aqueous dispersion medium is controlled to less than 6. Abstract:
Abstract:

Abstract:
Mouldings based on finely divided, organic and/or inorganic materials which contain, as binder, the solid component of an aqueous polymer dispersion obtainable by polymerising unsaturated monomers which can be polymerised by means of free radicals, in the aqueous phase in the presence of a monosaccharide, oligosaccharide or polysaccharide, oxidatively, hydrolytically and/or enzymatically degraded polysaccharides, chemically modified mono-, oligo- or polysaccharides, or mixtures of said compounds, by the process of free-radical aqueous emulsion polymerisation.
