Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing polymer-phyllosilicate-nanocomposite-foam materials, by mixing cationically stabilised polymer-lattices with aqueous suspensions of anionic phyllosilicates, isolating and drying the obtained nanocomposites, impregnating the dried nanocomposites and expanding the impregnated nanocomposites. The invention also relates to a polymer-phyllosilicate-nanocomposite-foam material which is produced according to said method, a polymer-phyllosilicate-nanocomposite-foam material which contains a polymer and which can be produced by free radical polymerisation of vinyl monomers and phyllosilicate selected from the group consisting of smectites, vermiculites, micas and mixtures thereof, to a method for producing polymer-phyllosilicate-nanocomposites, in addition to polymer-hyllosilicate-nanocomposites containing one polymer and phyllosilicates selected from the group consisting of smectites, vermiculites, mica and mixtures thereof.

Abstract: A molding with a plastics carrier injected, foamed, cast or pressed on the reverse side of a composite plate or film is such that the plate or film includes (A) a substrate comprising by weight (i) a rubber elastic graft copolymer (1-99%), (ii) a harder copolymer of units derived from vinyl aromatic monomers (1-99%), (iii) a polycarbonate (0-80%) and (iv) a fibrous and/or particulate filler; (B) an interlayer containing an impact-modified polymethyl methacrylate, polycarbonate and/or styrene copolymer; and (C) a cover layer containing (i) polystyrene-acrylonitrile and/or poly-alpha -methylstyrene-acrylonitrile (97-99%) and (ii) polymethyl methacrylate (1-3%). An independent claim is also included for production of the molding with all the layers in the composite plate or film being melt coextruded to firmly bonded to each other.
