Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing sulfinate without producing a large amount of unnecessary salt. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the method for manufacturing sulfinate with few unnecessary salt comprising reduction of dithionite of alkali metal, alkali earth metal or ammonium by using a carbonyl compound or an imine at pH>6 in manufacturing the sulfinate.
