Abstract:
The invention relates to non-flammable, thermoplastic moulded materials containing (A) at least one polyphenylene ether, (B) at least one vinyl aromatic polymer, and (C) at least one flame-proofing agent. Said materials are characterised in that they also comprise (D) and as the non-drip agent a high-molecular polymer based on acrylamide with a viscosity approximately of above 1.5 mPas, measured in an aqueous solution of 0.1 % at 25 °C. The invention also relates to the use of said materials in the production of fibres, sheets and moulded structures.
Abstract:
Flame-retardant, thermoplastic molding materials containingA) at least one polyphenylene ether,B) at least one vinylaromatic polymer andC) at least one flameproofing agent, compriseD) an amount of expandable graphite which increases the resistance of the molding material to drippingand are used for the production of flame-retardant moldings, fibers and films.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a supported transition metal catalyst comprising a particulate organic or inorganic support material, a transition metal complex and a compound capable of forming metallocenium ions comprises the following process steps:a) contacting a solution of a compound capable of forming metallocenium ions with a second solvent in which this compound is only sparingly soluble, in the presence of the support material,b) removing at least part of the solvent from the support material andc) contacting a solution of a mixture of a compound capable of forming metallocenium ions and a transition metal complex with a second solvent in which this mixture is only sparingly soluble, in the presence of the support material obtained as described in a) and b).
Abstract:
A process for preparing a compound of the formula Iwhere R1 and R2 are hydrogen or C1-C4-alkyl and R3 is C1-C10-alkyl, phenyl or C1-C4-alkyl-substituted phenyl, comprises reacting a compound IIwith a compound of the formula IIIwhere X is chlorine, bromine or iodine, in the presence of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst in one step to give a compound I.
