    Abstract: PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF POLYURETHANE-POLYISOCYANURATE FOAMS The invention describes a process for harmonizing the reaction rates for the formation of urethane and isocyanurate groups during the preparation of polyurethanepolyisocyanurate foams by reacting organic polyisocyanates with polyols in the presence of blowing agents and salts of amines having the formula as catalysts, wherein R stands for an hydrogen atom or a straight chained or branched alkyl radical with 1 to 19 carbon atoms, and n and m are equal or different whole numbers from 2 to 10.

    Abstract: The object of this invention is a moisture-curing, storage stable, single-component polyurethane system comprising: A. a polyurethane prepolymer with a free isocyanate content of 1 to 5 percent by weight; B. a dialdimine having the formula R¢-N=CH-C(CH3)2-CH2-O-CO-CH-(CH3)2!2 in which R is a divalent aliphatic radical with 2 to 10 carbon atoms, aliphatic radical having 4 to 10 carbon atoms and containing ether oxygen and/or lower alkylamino nitrogen atoms, cycloaliphatic radical with 6 to 15 carbon atoms or aromatic radical with 6 to 21 carbon atoms; and C. an acid catalyst selected from the group consisting of aliphatic carboxylic acids, aromatic carboxylic acids, toluenesulfonic acid, and mixtures thereof. The polyurethane systems are used as coating, sealing, casting, spackling and bonding materials.

    Abstract: PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF FLEXIBLE POLYURETHANE FOAMS INVOLVING THE USE OF ALIPHATIC MONOAMINES The invention relates a process for the preparation of a polyurethane foam by reacting an organic polyisocyanate, polyol, and primary or secondary aliphatic monoamine in the presence of a blowing agent and catalyst. The amines are used in quantities of 0.1 part to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts per weight of polyol. The highly elastic polyurethane flexible foams are suited for the manufacture of upholstered furniture, matresses, automobile seats and head supports, as well as particularly for molded foams. The semi-rigid polyurethane foams are used as foam backing of dashboards in automobiles, thermal and sound insulation in buildings and vehicles, and for impact absorption in packaging materials.

    Abstract: To prepare light-stable polyurethane integral skin foams, especially soft integral foams, aliphatic and/or cycloaliphatic polyisocyanates, both categories preferably containing urethane groups and/or biuret groups, are reacted with polyols in the presence of blowing agents and of a synergistic catalyst combination comprising an alkali metal hydroxide, alkali metal alcoholate, alkali metal phenolate, alkali metal salt of a weak acid and/or hexahydrotriazine derivative and an organic tin, zinc and/or iron(II) compound, in the presence or absence of assistants and adjuvants. The preferred catalyst combination is tri-(dimethylaminopropyl)-s-hexahydrotriazine and dibutyl-tin dilaurate.
