Abstract: The laminated panel formed from plastics, paper or metal consists of a core layer (1) and covering layers (2) on each side of the core layer. The surface of the core layer is provided with a number of grooves (3). Alternatively one or both of the covering layers may have grooves formed on their inner surfaces. The covering layer (2) may be provided with fittings (4) to enable the grooves to be connected to a vacuum source so that the air pressure in the grooves is below that of the atmosphere. This feature enables the panels to be lifted by devices equipped with suction pads without risk of damage. USE/ADVANTAGE - Laminated panels which can be safely handled by suction actuated devices.
