Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing dried powder oxygen-containing carotenoids, by using a protective colloid not exhibiting disadvantages of conventional technique. SOLUTION: This method for producing dried powder of one or several oxygen-containing carotenoids comprises (a) dispersing one or several kinds of oxygen-containing carotenoids into an aqueous molecular dispersion or a colloidal dispersion of protective colloid and (b) removing water and another solvent used, drying the oxygen-containing carotenoids in the presence or absence of a coating agent to convert the formed dispersion into the dried powder. In the method, at least one kind of a partially hydrolyzed soybean protein having a rate of hydrolysis larger than 5% is used as the protective colloid in the step (a).
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing carotenoid-containing dry powder by using protective colloids which do not display disadvantages of the prior art. SOLUTION: This method for producing dry powder containing one or more carotenoids is characterized by comprising (a) dispersing one or more carotenoids in an aqueous molecular or colloidal solution of a mixture of lactose and a protective colloid and (b) converting the resultant dispersion into a dry powder by removing the water and, where appropriate, additionally used solvents from the dispersion and carrying out drying, as necessary in the presence of a coating material, wherein at least one soybean protein is used as protective colloid in the process step (a).
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a solid preparation of a water-soluble, a slightly water-soluble or a water-insoluble active compound. SOLUTION: This method for producing the solid preparation which is made of at least one kind of the water-soluble, the slightly water-soluble, and the water-insoluble active compound and suitably used for fields of food and animal feeding stuff or medicaments and cosmetics comprises (a) a process where at least one kind among the above active compounds is dissolved or dispersed in an aqueous molecular dispersion or an aqueous colloidal dispersion of a proteinaceous protective colloid, (b) another process where the proteinaceous protective colloid is aggregated and deposited from the dispersion together with the active compound, and (c) the other process where the aggregated solid is separated from water and an arbitrary solvent which is additionally used, and then the solid is converted into a dry powder.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid preparation comprising active ingredients where, in addition to its safety, homogeneous and uniform distribution of active compounds is made ensured in all particles of the preparation. SOLUTION: This solid preparation having a multicore structure comprises at least two kinds of active compounds suitable for utilizing in the fields of food, feed, medicine, or cosmetics, wherein at least two cores in the multicore structure have different chemical compositions from each other.
Abstract:
The invention relates to oily suspensions of at least one water-soluble enzyme and to a method for the production of said suspensions and the use thereof as additives for animal feed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of producing oily suspensions of water-soluble vitamins. The inventive method is characterized by a) grinding at least one water-soluble vitamin in an oil to an average particle size of from 0.1 to 100 mu m, or b) grinding at least one water-soluble vitamin to an average particle size of from 0.1 to 100 mu m without using a continuous phase, and then suspending the ground particles in an oil.
Abstract:
The invention relates to pulverulent phytosterol formulations, methods for the production and use thereof. The aim of said invention is to deliver the phytosterol formulations incorporatable in aqueous and oily preparations. For this purpose, said pulverulent phytosterol formulations contain at least one type of phytosterol whose mean particle size ranges from 0.01 and 100 mu m, preferably from 0.01 to 10 mu m, better from 0.01 and 2 mu m and ideally from 0.05 and 1 mu m. Said phytosterol formulations are characterised, in particular in that at least one type of phytosterol is used in a semi-amorphous form. In a preferred embodiment, said phytosterol formulations are characterised in that said phytosterol is embedded in a protective colloid matrix.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a pulverulent phytosterol formulation comprising at least one phytosterol having a mean particle size of from 0.05 to 1 micrometre, wherein at least one phytosterol is present in partially amorphous form. The formulation as disclosed is useful for producing food supplements and as an additive to foods, animal feeds, pharmaceutical and cosmetic preparations.
Abstract:
Dry microorganism cultures comprising at least one microorganism species in carrier-bound form are present in the form of particles which a) have a particle size of at least about 0.1 mm and b) are compressed; processes for preparing dry microorganism cultures and their use for preparing foodstuffs and feedstuffs are also claimed.
Abstract:
