    Abstract: A process for the production of mouldings having a cellular core and a compacted peripheral zone and improved demoulding properties by the polyisocyanate polyaddition process, by reacting a) organic polyisocyanates b) relatively high-molecular-weight compounds containing at least 2 reactive hydrogen atoms, and, if desired, c) low-molecular-weight polyhydric alcohols, polyoxyalkylene-polyols and/or secondary aromatic diamines in the presence of d) an internal mould release agent, comprising A) from 0.1 to 12% by weight, based on the total weight of components (b) and (c), of a mixture of i) from 5 to 80 parts by weight of at least one organic amine, and ii) from 20 to 95 parts by weight of at least one metal salt of stearic acid, and B) from 0.01 to 32% by weight, based on the total weight of components (b) and (c), of at least one organic mono- and/or dicarboxylic acid or anhydrides thereof, e) catalysts, f) blowing agents, and, if desired, g) assistants and/or additives, in a closed mould with compaction, expediently using the low-pressure or preferably reaction injection moulding technique.

    Abstract: Elastic, solid or cellular, polyurethane or polyurethane-polyurea mouldings (I) are mfd. by reaction of organic polyisocyanates, polyester-diols (II) with OH-No. 25-100 and Acid No. below 2, obtd. from dicarboxylic acids and at least one polyoxytetramethylene-glycol with mol. wt. 162-600 (III) and chain-extenders or crosslinkers, in the presence of catalysts, and of propellants and other additives as required. (III)is used in combination with a 2-12C alklenediol or a polyoxyalkylene glycol of mol. wt. 106-1000 (IV); pref. (II) is obtd. by polycondensation of 10-70 pts. wt. diacid, 1-90 pts.wt. (III), and 0-50 pts. wt. (IV); pref. (IV) is polyoxyethylene-, polyoxypropylene-, or polyoxypropylene- polyoxyethylene-glycol; pref. diacid is adipic, glutaric, or succinic acid; pref. (III) is a mixt. of average mol. wt. 200-300; pref. (II) is obt. from adipic acid and (III) of mol. wt. 200-300 (or the above mixt. of III), with butane-1,4-diol (pref. amts. 20-50, 10-90, and 0-50 pts. wt., respectively). Chain-extenders are low-mol. wt. diols or aromatic diamines with ortho-alkyl gp(s). Polyisocyanates are quasi-prepolymers contg. 15-30 wt.% NCO, obtd. by reaction of 4,4'-DPMDI with polyesteridiol(s) with OH-No. 30-300 or a mixt. thereof with 2-12C alkanediol(s).

    Abstract: Disclosed are polyester polyols liquid at 25 DEG C., having an average functionality of from 2 to 3, a hydroxyl number of from 25 to 400, an acid number smaller than 10 and a viscosity at 25 DEG C. of from 200 to 10,000 mPas, which contain in bonded form units having at least one of the structures -O-CH2-CH(CH3)-CH2-CH2-CH2-O-, -O-CH2-CH(C2H5)-CH2-CH2-O-, -OC-CH(CH3)-CH2-CH2-CO-and -OC-CH(C2H5)-CH2-CO- which are prepared by the polycondensation or transesterification of 2-methyl-1,5-pentanediol, 2-ethyl-1,4-butanediol, 2-methyl-glutaric acid and/or 2-ethyl succinic acid or their derivatives, optionally while using other organic polycarboxylic acids and multivalent aliphatic alcohols and are useful for preparing non-cellular or cellular polyurethane plastics or polyurethane-polyurea plastics.
