Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the production of microcapsules that contain a capsule core containing an effective substance and a capsule shell containing a polymer, comprising the formation of the capsule shell by means of the enzyme-catalyzed polymerization of monomers that are present in an inverse mini-emulsion; and microcapsules and dispersions. The invention relates to the use of said microcapsules and dispersions containing microcapsules as components in dyes, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, phytosanitary agents, fertilizers, additives for foods or animal feeds, adjuvants for polymers, paper, textiles, leather, or detergents and cleaning agents.
Abstract:
Ethylenically unsaturated glycosides of formula (I) wherein n, A, X, R3 and R4 have the meanings given in the description are produced by reacting an ethylenically unsaturated alcohol of formula (II) with a saccharide of formula (III) in the presence of a glycosidase, such as an amylase, cellulase, glucosidase or galactosidase, (i) at a molar ratio of ethylenically unsaturated alcohol of formula II to saccharide of formula (III) of from 2:1 to 30:1; (ii) in the presence of a solvent mixture of water and a water miscible organic solvent that is no primary or secondary alcohol, such as acetone, acetonitrile, t-pentanol, t-butanol, 1,4-dioxane and tetrahydrofuran, at a weight ratio of water to organic solvent of from 0.1 :1 to 9:1; and (iii) at a weight ratio of solvent mixture to saccharide of from 3:1 to 30:1.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing monoethylenically unsaturated glycosylamines, in which an aldehyde sugar is reacted with a primary aliphatic amine or ammonia in an aqueous medium and with the anhydride of a simple unsaturated carboxylic acid, without intermediate isolation, or aldehyde sugar is reacted directly with allylamine. The invention also relates to a method for producing polymers containing polymerised N-acylated glycosylamine groups, and to novel unsaturated N-maleinylated glycosylamine.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing unsaturated acylamidoalkyl polyhydroxy acid amides, in which the reaction product from polyhydroxy acid lactone and aliphatic diamine is reacted with the anhydride of a simple unsaturated carboxylic acid. The invention also relates to unsaturated acylamidoalkyl polyhydroxy acid amides and to a method for producing polymers from unsaturated acylamidoalkyl polyhydroxy acid amides.

The weight ratio of inorganic solid material (A) to (co)polymers is in the region of 100:1 to 1.1:1.
Abstract:
The invention relates to microcapsule dispersions containing microcapsules comprising a hydrophilic capsule core and a capsule wall polymer, which capsule wall polymer can be obtained by polymerizing a monomer composition comprising 25 to 95 wt% of one or more C1-C24 alkyl and/or glycidyl esters of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid, up to 75 wt% of one or more hydrophilic monomers selected from acrylic acid esters and/or methacrylic acid esters that bear hydroxy and/or carboxy groups, and allyl gluconamide, 0 to 40 wt% of one or more compounds having two or more ethylenically unsaturated groups, wherein the microcapsules are dispersed in a hydrophobic diluent. The invention further relates to the microcapsules, to a method for producing the microcapsules, and to the use of the microcapsules for the delayed release of active ingredients for construction, cosmetic, or plant-protection applications.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a water-soluble or water-dispersible copolymer containing units, which can be embedded by polymerization, a) of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer comprising a saccharide side group and b) at least one hydrophilic monomer that is different from (meth)acrylamide and ethylenically unsaturated, wherein the percentage by weight of the ethylenically unsaturated monomers comprising a saccharide side group is 5 to 95 wt %. The copolymers exhibit high affinity to inorganic surfaces or hydrophilic fibers such as cotton. Said copolymers are used in textile detergents as polymers that are able to dissolve dirt and/or prevent graying or minimize the risk of the microbial colonization of materials coated therewith.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a process for producing microcapsules. The microcapsules have an effect-substance-containing capsule core and a polymer-containing capsule covering. The capsule covering is formed by enzyme-catalyzed polymerization of monomers which are present in an inverse miniemulsion, as well as microcapsules and dispersions. The present invention also provides for using the microcapsules and microcapsule dispersions as components in colorants, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, crop protection agents, fertilizers, and additives for foods or animal feed.
