Abstract: A lubricant composition includes a base oil and a cyclic amine compound. A method of lubricating a system including a fluoropolymer seal with the lubricant composition is also provided. An additive concentrate for a lubricant composition is also provided. The cyclic amine compound is useful for adjusting the total base number of a lubricant composition. The lubricant composition is compatible with fluoropolymer seals.

Abstract: The invention relates to the use of certain ethers as activity-enhancers for water-soluble biocides in homopolar hydrocarbons. The invention also relates to the use of at least one water-soluble biocide combined with at least one of said ethers for controlling micro-organisms and/or for reducing or preventing the multiplication of micro-organisms in essentially water-immiscible hydrocarbons.
