    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing aluminates of general formula (I): A1BxAl12-xO19-y, wherein A means at least one element from the group consisting of Sr, Ba, and La, B means at least one element from the group consisting of Mn, Fe Co, Ni, Rh, Cu, and Zn, x means 0.05 to 1.0, and y means a value that is determined by the oxidation states of the other elements, comprising the following steps: (i) providing one or more solutions or suspensions containing precursor compounds of elements A and B and a precursor compound of aluminum in a solvent, (ii) converting the solutions or suspensions or the suspensions into an aerosol, (iii) introducing the aerosol into a directly or indirectly heated pyrolysis zone, (iv) performing the pyrolysis, and (v) separating the formed particles containing hexaaluminate of general formula (I) from the pyrolysis gas.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing furan-2,5-dicarboxylic acid, the process comprising the following steps: (A-1) preparing or providing a starting mixture comprising one, two or more carbohydrate compounds selected from the group consisting of hexoses, oligosaccharides comprising hexose units, and polysaccharides comprising hexose units, and as the solvent or as a co-solvent for said carbohydrate compounds an amount of one or more carboxylic acid esters of formula (II) (A-2) subjecting said starting mixture to reaction conditions so that at least one of said one, two or more carbohydrate compounds reacts, and a fraction of said amount of one or more carboxylic acid esters of formula (II) is hydrolyzed, so that a mixture results comprising 5-(hydroxymethyl)furfural and/or said one or more HMF esters of formula (I), one or more carboxylic acids of formula (III) and a remaining fraction of said amount of one or more carboxylic acid esters of formula (II).

    Abstract: Procedimiento de preparación de ácido furan-2,5-dicarboxílico que comprende la siguiente etapa: (a) preparar o proporcionar una mezcla de partida que comprende 5-(hidroximetil)furfural (HMF), 5,5'-[oxi-bis(metileno)]bis-2-furfural (di-HMF), y agua, en el que la cantidad total de agua en la mezcla de partida es de al menos 50% en peso en base al peso total de la mezcla de partida, y en el que el pH de la mezcla de partida está en el intervalo de 4,0 a 7,0, (b) someter dicha mezcla de partida a condiciones de oxidación en presencia de un gas que contiene oxígeno y una cantidad catalíticamente eficaz de un catalizador heterogéneo que comprende uno o más metales nobles en un soporte, para que ambos, HMF y di-HMF, se hagan reaccionar para dar ácido furano-2,5-dicarboxílico en una mezcla de producto que también comprende agua.
