Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising a rubbery elastomeric matrix, said composition comprising one or more amphiphilic block copolymers and the use thereof for application in the medical field for instance for adhering of medical devices to the skin, in wound dressings or ostomy appliances and provides a quick and safe means for managing perspiration from the skin also when occluded with medical appliances.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An isolated, acellular biosynthetic cartilaginous matrix substantially devoid of synthetic biodegradable scaffold structure is provided. Through a method with the steps of a) contacting in vitro a population of chondrogenic cells with a synthetic biodegradable scaffold; b) culturing in vitro for a period of time said chondrogenic cells within said synthetic biodegradable scaffold so that the chondrogenic cells produce a biosynthetic cartilaginous matrix; c) substantially removing any antigen derived from said chondrogenic cells a matrix suitable of implantation into a living individual mammal, such as a human being is obtained.

Abstract:
The present invention provides for a composition, for augmentation and regeneration of living tissue in a subject, comprising a population of porous microparticles of a biodegradable polymer, one or more mammalian cell populations, and optionally, a biocompatible adhesive.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a hydrophilic coating of a water-swellable hydrophilic matrix having incorporated therein an anti-microbial polymer, said anti-microbial polymer carrying pendant groups providing the anti-microbial effect, said pendant groups being selected from primary amino groups, secondary amino groups, tertiary amino groups, quaternary ammonium groups, imino groups, and phosphonium groups.

Abstract:
An adhesive, flat skin barrier product for use as semi-manufacture in the production of, a.o., dressings, wound-care devices, electrodes and fastening means for ostomy equipment and catheters, consists of alternating zones of material of at least two different kinds (26, 28, 30) at least one of which is a skinfriendly self-adhesive material. The zones are parallel and extend in a direction usually at right angles to the main surfaces of the product. The zones may for instance be parallel strips, co-axial rings, co-wound Archimedean spirals or short strands. The skin barrier product offers the advantage that in a simple way it may be produced to comprise, besides the sealing material itself, other components for special purposes, e.g. having contents of antiseptics, medicaments or other biologically active substances of liquid-transporting or electrically conductive structures.
