    Abstract: Proceso para producir un catalizador de metal noble soportado, en el cual se ha aplicado al soporte clorurode paladio, que está envuelto por coloides de hidróxido/óxido de paladio y/o coloides de cloro-hidroxi-paladio,que se compone de los pasos siguientes: - hidrólisis de una solución acuosa de cloruro de paladio por la adición de una base fuerte a la solución decloruro de paladio a la temperatura ambiente mientras se mantiene un valor de pH inferior a 7, formando así unasuspensión coloidal, - precipitación de los coloides sobre el soporte por adición de la suspensión coloidal formada a una suspensiónacuosa de un soporte, - calentamiento de la suspensión resultante a 80ºC, - filtración en caliente la suspensión para producir el catalizador de metal noble soportado, y - lavado.

    Abstract: A supported catalyst comprising palladium and/or its compounds and alkali compounds, optionally with gold, barium and/or cadmium as the catalytically active components or a support (molded article) is characterized in that the catalyst is applied to a support having a through channel and the active components have a penetration depth of 0.5-1.5 mm measured from the surface of the support material. A supported catalyst (I) comprising palladium and/or its compounds and alkali compounds, as well as additionally gold and/or its compounds (system Pd/alkali/Au) or cadmium and/or its compounds (system Pd/alkali/Cd) or barium and/or its compounds (system Pd/alkali/Ba) or palladium, alkali compounds, and mixtures of gold and/or cadmium and/or barium as the catalytically active components or a support (molded article) is characterized in that the catalyst is applied to a support having a through channel and the active components have a penetration depth of 0.5-1.5 mm measured from the surface of the support material. Independent claims are included for: (i) a process for the production of the supported catalyst (I) by dipping, spraying, evaporating, soaking or precipitation of Pd-, Au-, Cd-, Ba-metal compounds, optionally reduction of the deposited metal compounds, optionally reduction of the deposited metal compounds, washing to remove chloride constituents and impregnation with alkali acetates or alkali compounds that are at least partially converted to alkali acetates under the reaction conditions for the production of vinyl acetate monomer; (ii) a molded article having a ring-like cylindrical state whose cross-section has a hollow cavity and having a free surface area of 1.6-77 % of the total surface area.
