    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound useful as an intermediate or the like for producing a blood pressure regulator by posttreating a crude substance from a production process for a specific N-substituted-L-lysyl-L-proline with liquid or supercritical CO2 . SOLUTION: A crude substance from a production process for a 1-[N2-((S)- ethoxycarbonyl)-3-phenylpropyl)-N6-trifluoroacetyl]-L-lysyl-L-proline (LPE) in which the LPE is enriched and present is precharged into an extraction container C and supercritical CO2 or liquid CO2 prepared by making liquid CO2 flow from a collection container D to a pump P1 , compressing the liquid CO2 to an extraction pressure and heating the compressed liquid CO2 to an extraction temperature with a heat exchanger E1 is fed to the extraction container C to dissolve an extractible substance in the CO2 during the passage thereof through the extraction container C. The CO2 loaded with the dissolved substance is then led to a separator S and the pressure or temperature or both are changed to deposit the extracted substance. Thereby, the LPE which is an intermediate for an inhibitor of angiotensin converting enzymes effectively useful as a blood pressure regulator is obtained in a short time.

SOLUTION: A desirable organic compound in starting materials is intentionally extracted using a condensed fluid, optionally another reaction component being added, and an extract consisting of the condensed fluid and the compound as a reaction mixture is brought on a catalyst, the organic compound is catalytically reacted using the catalyst to convert the compound into a production mixture consisting of individual products of catalytic reaction, the product mixture is separated from the reaction mixture, and the fluid used above is optionally returned to the extraction process. As shown by low sulfur content and clearly improved acid value, extremely high purity of the extract is achieved.

    Abstract: Moldings based on silica having a hollow cylindrical configuration with internal reinforcing stays or spokes leading from an inner wall of a hollow cylinder to the center of the molding or in the form of miniliths having passageway channels therethrough, are produced by homogenizing silica with methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose, wax and/or polyethylene glycol. Water and optionally aqueous alkaline ammonia solution are added, and the mixture is subjected to kneading and forming, extruding, optionally cutting the extrudate to the desired length by means of a cutting device, drying at a temperature from 20 to 150° C., and annealing for a period from 30 minutes to 10 hours at a temperature of 400 to 1200° C. The moldings can be used as catalyst supports for the production of unsaturated esters from olefins, organic acids and oxygen in the gas phase and and can be used in particular for the production of vinyl acetate monomer.
