Disclosed herein are a method for producing a miniaturized liposome on a large production scale, and an apparatus for producing a liposome which is to be used in the above-mentioned method. Provided is a method for producing a liposome, including a step of stirring a mixture containing an oil phase in which at least one lipid is dissolved in an organic solvent and a water phase in a first tank of an apparatus having the first tank and a circulation path, in which the ratio of the capacity of the circulation path to the total capacity of the tank and the circulation path is 0.4 or less and/or the time required for the mixture to return to the first tank after being discharged therefrom is within 2.0 minutes.

Disclosed herein are a method for producing a liposome which is capable of reducing the facility costs and also capable of rapid desolvation, and an apparatus for producing a liposome which is for use in the above-mentioned method. Provided is a method for producing a liposome, including a stirring step of stirring a mixed liquid containing an oil phase in which at least one lipid is dissolved in an organic solvent and a water phase, and an evaporating step of evaporating an organic solvent from the mixed liquid, in which the condensed organic solvent is removed by passing a gas having a temperature not higher than the dew point of the solvent in the evaporating step.

An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing lipid particles which can hold nucleic acids or the like at a high inclusion rate, and a nucleic acid delivery carrier having the lipid particles. According to the present invention, there is provided a method for producing lipid particles including nucleic acids, the method including the following steps of (1) to (4): (1) a step of heating an oil phase containing a phospholipid, an alcohol, and an ester; (2) a step of mixing an oil phase prepared in step (1) with a water phase containing nucleic acids; (3) a step of cooling the mixed liquid which contains the oil phase and the water phase and has been obtained in step (2), and crystallizing lipid particles; and (4) a step of removing the alcohol and the ester from the mixed liquid which contains the oil phase and the water phase and has been obtained in step (3).

An object of the present invention is to provide lipid particles which have low cytotoxicity, can stably hold nucleic acid molecules outside cells, and can promptly release nucleic acids in cytoplasm after escaping from endosome, and a nucleic acid delivery carrier. According to the present invention, there are provided lipid particles containing a compound represented by the following General Formula (1), sterol, at least one lipid selected from the group consisting of a neutral lipid and a lipid having a polyethylene glycol chain, and nucleic acids, and a nucleic acid delivery carrier. In the formula, R 1 and R 2 are the same as or different from each other, and are alkyl groups having 10 to 22 carbon atoms.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, particularly the liquid crystal display devices of VA, IPS and OCB modes capable of reducing coloring in a viewing angle direction by precisely performing optical compensation not only in the front direction but also in oblique directions. SOLUTION: The optical compensation film or the like includes a transparent support containing at least one kind of Rth raising agent. In the transparent support, the degree of orientation P defined by an expression (A), P= 2 β-1>/2, calculated by x-ray diffraction measurement is within 0.05 to 0.30, where 2 β>=∫(0, π)cos 2 βI(β)sinβdβ/∫(0, π)I(β)sinβdβ is satisfied. In the expression, β is an angle defined by an incident plane of the incident X-ray and one direction in a surface of the transparent support, and I is diffraction intensity at 2θ=8° in an X-ray diffraction chart measured at the angle β. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose acylate film which is excellent in developabilities of retardation in the front and film thickness direction, thin and has an easy handleability in producing and machining, and a liquid crystal display device using the cellulose acylate film and having a small change in characteristics of viewing angle, and a polarizing plate used in the liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: The cellulose acylate film is characterized in that the film thickness is 20 to 70 μm, and in that the modulus of elasticity in at least one direction of the film following direction and width direction is 3.5 to 10 GPa. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film especially for VA, IPS and OCB modes which can be easily teared in a TD direction, accurately and optically compensates a liquid crystal cell and improves high contrast and a color shift depending on a visual angle direction of black display, to provide a manufacturing method of the same and to provide a polarizing plate using the optical film. SOLUTION: The optical film is characterized in that a value obtained by dividing a smaller value of values of breaking elongation in a longer side direction of the film and breaking elongation in a direction nearly orthogonal to the longer side direction by the other value is 0.01 to 0.28, or a value obtained by dividing a larger value of values of breaking strength in the longer side direction of the film and breaking strength in the direction nearly orthogonal to the longer side direction by the other value is 1.3 to 10.0.
