    Abstract: Disclosed is a positive-working, radiation-sensitive recording material for the production of planographic printing plates, comprising an aluminum support and a radiation-sensitive layer coated thereon, wherein the aluminum support has been grained in nitric acid, then pickled in sulfuric acid, anodized in sulfuric acid, and subsequently hydrophilized with a compound comprising at least one unit with a phosphonic acid or phosphonate group and the radiation-sensitive layer comprises a) a radiation-sensitive ester of 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide-4- or -5-sulfonic acid and a polycondensate having phenolic hydroxy groups, said polycondensate being obtained by reacting a phenolic compound with an aldehyde or ketone, b) a novolak or a polycondensation product obtained by reacting a polyphenol with an aldehyde or ketone, as an alkali-soluble resin, c) a vinyl-type polymer comprising at least one unit having a lateral hydroxyphenyl group, d) a clathrate, e) a low-molecular weight compound which comprises at least one acidic hydrogen atom, and f) silica gel particles having a maximum diameter of 15 mu m. e

    Abstract: An infrared emitter 2 whose surface temperature is held constant during measurement is used to irradiate a measurement region 4 on a material surface with heat with an oblique angle of incidence of the rays. The temperature of the reflected thermal radiation is measured by means of an infrared thermometer 3 which is arranged above the measurement region in such a way that the reflected radiation impinges in the field of view of the infrared thermometer. The overall measurement region of the material surface, which is situated in the field of view of the infrared thermometer, must be irradiated with heat. The measured temperature characteristic of the reflected radiation as a function of the known nature of the surface of the material is stored in a comparator 7. This comparator 7 is fed a desired value for the desired nature of the surface. The infrared temperature of a material surface which is at first unknown with regard to its surface nature is measured and compared with the stored temperature characteristic in order to determine the magnitude of the surface parameter. The value thus obtained is used in conjunction with the desired value fed in to form a difference signal which is fed via the output 8 of the comparator 7 to a control unit 9 of a processing device for the material.

    Abstract: An apparatus for drying a liquid layer deposited on a carrier material which is moved through a drying zone, which liquid layer contains evaporable solvent components and non-evaporable components, comprises a drying apparatus (1) with a drying channel (2), through which the carrier material band (4) runs in the longitudinal direction, on which band the liquid layer to be dried is deposited.     Abstract: of the disclosure: Method of controlling the mobility of aqueous flows through fissures, slits or pores, in particular of flooding waters in tertiary production of crude oil, wherein cationic surfactants which, on measurement of the electric birefringence with a pulsed rectangular electrical field in pure aqueous solutions, give a measurement signal, from the decrease of which a relaxation time of 0.01 .mu.s to 10 ms, in particular of 0.1 .mu.s to 2 ms, results, are added to the aqueous medium. Preferred suit able cationic compounds are those of the general formula R1-K+A-in which R1 denotes C12-C26 alkyl or C12-C26 alkenyl, K+ denotes a group of the formula R2 denotes C1-C3-alkyl, preferably methyl, R'2 denotes C1-C3-alkyl, preferably methyl, R"2 denotes C1-C3-alkyl, preferably methyl, or R"2 denotes (CH2CH2O)xH, where x denotes from 1 to 3, preferably 1 to 2, and A? denotes an anion of the following formulae: SCN?, R3SO3?, where R3 is C6-C9-alkyl or -alkenyl and the sum of the carbon atoms in R1 and R3 should be at least 21; where Hal is chlorine or bromine, R4 is C1-C5-alkyl, C2-C5-alkenyl or C1-C5-alkoxy in positions 3, 4, 5 and 6 and R5 is hydrogen or hydroxyl in positions 2 and 3 relative to the carboxyl group, or where R6 is COO- or SO3- and R7 is hydrogen or methyl.
