    Abstract: The invention relates to a corrosion-inhibiting active pigment for use in the surface protection of iron and iron alloys. The pigment consists of a mixture of calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, magnesium hydrogen phosphate trihydrate and zinc oxide. More specifically, the mixture contains 2 to 98 weight% of ZnO and 98 to 2 weight% of phosphate components. These in turn contain 3 to 97 weight%, of CaHP04 . 2 H2O and 97 to 3 weight% of MgHFO4 . 3 H2O. The active pigment is suitable for use in painting compositions or lacquers.

    Abstract: 1339989 Abrasive compositions KNAPSACK AG 19 April 1971 [21 March 1970] 24539/71 Heading C4V [Also in Divisions C2 and C7] A polishing or cleaning paste is obtained by either (a) heating a mixture of materials comprising one or more organic or inorganic acids, water, one or more amines having a chain of at least 12 carbon atoms and an amount of one or more mono-, di- or tri-esters of phosphoric acid (or mixture thereof) of between 0À1 and 25% by weight based on the total weight of starting materials to a temperature higher than the fusion point of the amine(s), or (b) adding the materials together to a vessel maintained at the said temperature, intimately mixing the product formed in (a) or (b) and allowing it to cool. Further components may be added to the mixture of starting materials or to the finished paste. Such further components may be abrasives, polishing agents, metal cleaning or metal polishing agents, corrosion inhibitors, solvents and surface active agents. In Example 5 a polishing paste is obtained by heating a mixture of phosphoric acid, petroleum, polishing alumina (as an abrasive), stearyl amine, phosphoric acid mono- and di-ester of stearyl alcohol octaglycol ether and water, to 90‹ C. with agitation and subsequent cooling.
