Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for supporting multiple display sessions through a single address on a non-programmable-terminal (NPT) attached to a host computer by a work station controller (WSC). The WSC enables shared addressing of multiple display sessions on the NPT. The WSC changes focus to a selected one of the multiple display sessions responsive to receiving from the host computer a data stream for a requested display session not having the focus and responsive to receiving a change focus request from the NPT. The NPT may have one display session active for the user interface and a different display session having the focus communicating with the host computer, which is transparent to the user and to the host computer.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To support the plural display sessions of a non-programmable terminal by a single address. CONSTITUTION: This is a method and device for supporting plural display sessions by a single address in non-programmable terminals(NPT) 14 connected with a host computer 12 by a work station controller(WSC) 18. The WSC 18 enables the divided addressing of the plural display sessions of the NPT 14. The WSC 18 changes a focus on one selected from among the plural display sessions in response to focus change from the NPT 14 and the reception of a data stream for the requested display session which is not provided with the focus from the host computer. The NPT 14 has the focus on one display session in an active state for a user interface, and a different display session for communicating with the host computer 12. Thus, this can be transparent to a user and the host computer 12.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white point adjustment device that can set a color temperature of a white point at a highest gradation and adjust the white point so that the color temperature at each gradation is almost constant. SOLUTION: The white point adjustment device that adjusts an achromatic color level to an input video signal consisting of chrominance signals and allows a liquid crystal display module 30 to display an adjusted image, is provided with a 1st table 46 that is used to set a white point by deciding an offset from the highest gradation of at least one chrominance signal by each color temperature, a 2nd table 47 that is used to set the offset of the chrominance signal to converge the white point at a medium gradation by each color temperature set by the 1st table 46, and a white point adjustment section 40 that adds the offset set by the 1st table 46 and the 2nd table 47 to the input video signal.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of gradations capable of being displayed in a LCD display, without having to apply the optical treatment of filters or the like on the surface of the LCD or to increase the number of bits of an X driver in an existing LCD. SOLUTION: This display device is a liquid crystal display device, which inputs image data in which one pixel is expressed with plural sub-pixels and displays a picture in liquid crystal cells via a LCD driver, which is driven with the prescribed number of bits and is provided with a memory 22, in which information concerning the offset amounts for transforming the gradation coordinate of gamma characteristic arranged at equal intervals into the gradation coordinates of non-equal intervals by the number of the bits of the LCD driver, a gradation-adjusting part 41 performing calculations with respect to the data of the specific sub-pixel, based on the stored information concerning the offset amounts and a pseudo-gradation expanding part 42 performing pseudo-gradation expansion to the data of the calculated sub-pixel.
