    Abstract: PURPOSE: To perform the test and obstruction separation of a high density receiving circuit board (e.g.; non-mounted circuit board) and a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A small number of movable probes (151, 152) are used to simultaneously perform the measurement of network resistors (R1, R12) and network capacities (c1, c2, c12). Therefore, electrical changeover, excessive probe movement and both of them become unnecessary during a test and a test time is minimized. The simultaneous measurement of network capacities and network leakage is realized by using phase sensibility detection. The capacity value and resistance value of the leak route between a network to be measured and an unknown network can be measured by double frequency measuring technique. The leak resistance between the network during a test and the earth surface or power surface in a circuit board can be also determined from the above mentioned measurement.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To make it possible to position mechanical parts including an active center point onto a work point far away from a main body of a manipulator device repeatedly, by constituting the manipulator mechanism from multiple rigid links connected by pivots. CONSTITUTION: In the device made of two parts, that is, a central part and a tip end, there are multiple rigid links 1-7. The links position an instrument such as a surgical instrument 11 into a work point Cmot by rotating the links with centering around pivots A-K. The central part of the device is mounted adjustably on a fixed body such as an operation table 22. The tip part of the device supports the surgical instrument. The tip part of the device can be moved against the central part by movement of the links that can control several lengths. That is, the work point and an action radius of a manipulator can be varied without moving the central part of the device. The links are rotated with centering around the pivot by an actuator 9 of manual or remote (computer) controlling type, to adjust the length of the adjustable links.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure both aural and visual functions by preparing a virtual image display, a means which performs the pointing operations on the display, and a means which performs the selecting operations on the display respectively. SOLUTION: A virtual image display 14 includes a partially reflective/ transmissive optical element 24, a display 26, a rotary base 28, and a microcomputer or another built-in computer. Then a stick type pointing device 30 and a selector 32 perform the control of a cursor visible to a user on the device 14. A curved mirror 22 reflects the image received from the display 26 via the element 24 and produces a virtual image that is visible to the user while the is holding a personal communicator 10 to his ear so as to simultaneously use a handset 12 in optional selection. The position of the virtual image is adjusted when the display 14 is turned on the base 28.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for positioning an end-effector comprising a multi-bar linkage drive mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A multi-bar linkage drive mechanism has a base structure 12 and a movable arm structure. The movable arm structure has four arms arranged in a general parallelogram profile with a center of gravity at a main shaft 20 located at a connection of two of the arms. Two of the arms have energizeable electromagnetic coils and the base structure 12 has permanent magnets 26 for moving the arms. Analog and/or digital position sensors can be used. Dynamic balancing can be provided to produce reactionless ultra-high speed X-Y motion. A torque cancellation motor for cancellation of Z-axis moments produced by these coils can be provided. A Z-direction actuator can also be provided.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PC card ejection mechanism which includes a common selector to select PC cards to be ejected. SOLUTION: A PC card ejection mechanism 18 includes a common selector 20 which selects the PC cards 14 and 16 to be ejected. The selector 20 also can select the prescribed positions to hold both cards 14 and 16. Then the selector 20 is connected at one of its both ends to a loading shaft 24 of a spring 26 having a radial projection part 22. A radial projection part 28 engages a pivot actuator and pushes the cards 14 and 16 out of a PC card stack 34. The selector 20 engages a flap which holds the cards 14 and 16 at the prescribed holding positions. The mechanism 18 optionally includes a solenoid and electrically actuates the pin holding the projection provided on the shaft 24 so as to fix this shaft 24. Thus the shaft 24 can be locked. The mechanism 18 of such a constitution can be used to hold an unloadable disk drive by itself or in response to a lock mechanism or used to lock and unlock the disk drive.
