    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display characteristics and more particularly to prevent the occurrence of blue bright points when a liquid crystal module is used as an optical modulating means (light valve) for the light emitted from a strong light source in OHP applications, etc. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal module is provided with shielding means for shielding the region of the wavelengths liable to be absorbed and transmitted through the protective layers formed on TFTs among the wavelengths constituting the light arriving at the routes of the light arriving at the protective layers formed on the TFTs in these optical paths. The protective layers on the TFTs typically consist of amorphous silicon layers. In such a case, the characteristic to shut off the light having a region of 380 to 500nm is requested as the shielding means. The more preferable shielding means are obtd. by forming color filters exclusive blue right above the TFTs at least part of which relates with blue cells.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal alignment layer, a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal alignment layer, a liquid crystal panel and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the liquid crystal alignment layer which is used for a liquid crystal display device containing a cell formed between glass substrates arranged by providing a gap between the substrates and liquid crystal molecules held in the cell and which is disposed on the side opposed to the liquid crystal molecules of the glass substrates comprises a step for depositing the liquid crystal alignment layer 36 on the glass substrate 34, and a step for multiply irradiating the liquid crystal alignment layer 36 with charged particle rays having irradiation directions different from each other.
