Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balance correction device and correction method capable of surely and efficiently correcting dynamic balance and a disk assembling method. SOLUTION: A balance correction device 20' is constituted as follows. To a hard disk drive 10, in which a disk 1 and a spindle 2 are assembled on a base 4, an acceleration applied from an actuator 23 is worked to the tip 2a the spindle 2 by way of a holder plate 26' in one acceleration applying mechanism 22A and the acceleration applied from the actuator 23 works on the base part 2b of the spindle 2 by way of the base 4 in an acceleration applying mechanism 22B.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device which can effectively erase data on a magnetic disk while suppressing the operation of a magnetic field on a spindle motor. SOLUTION: The top cover 14 of the disk device is provided with pole pieces 14a1 and 14a2. When this disk device is placed in an external magnetic field, a magnetic field which is local and has a steeper magnetic gradient than the external magnetic field is produced from the pole pieces 14a1 and 14a2. When the pole pieces 14a1 and 14a2 are arranged on the inner peripheral side of the magnetic disk, data on the magnetic disk can effectively be erased while the operation of the magnetic field on the spindle motor is suppressed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly deal with a robot for assembly of horizontally moving type having access from the upper side toward the lower side. SOLUTION: A plurality of supporting seats 20 are formed on a tray 10, and a hard disk 60 is mounted thereon by the supporting seats 20, and a central section of the hard disk 60 is pressed elastically by a press member 42 attached to the lower face of the upper tray 10, and such trays 10 are stacked in a plurality of stages, and a bottom plate 11 is combined with the lower side of a lowermost tray 10, while a cover plate 12 is combined with the upper side of an uppermost tray 10, and the whole assembly is clamped by engaging members formed of leaf springs from both sides.
