Abstract: An apparatus for supplying data to a plurality of source drivers (13, 15, 17, 19) classified into a plurality of groups, each of the source drivers driving a part of a LCD panel (21), comprising: a plurality of memory blocks (7, 9), each block supplying data to one of the groups of the source driver (13, 15, 17, 19) and allowing itself to be read out and be written into simultaneously; control means (5) for switching the memory blocks (7, 9) to be written when data of pixels drawn by one source driver when one line in the LCD panel is drawn written from the frame buffer (1) into one memory block (7, 9); and wherein while writing data into the memory block (7, 9), the written data is read from the memory block (7, 9) at a lower speed than the writing, simultaneously.

Abstract: When data is transferred from a controller of a liquid crystal display devic e to each driver through a predetermined number of signal lines, the Transferring Data are divided into a plurality of groups by forming the signal lines into groups beforehand. For each group , the combination of inversion/non-inversion of the data to be transmitted is examined, a well- balanced combination is selected so as to reduce EMI. Further, a control range is set and, for each group, data inversion is selected according to whether the number of "data to be transmitted" differe nt from "data transmitted immediately therebefore" is in the control range or not.

SOLUTION: An inspecting device includes a light source 34, placed on an upside nearly perpendicular to the surface of a plate 30 to emit brightline spectrum corresponding to the colored microparticles of a color filter 32, and a photoreceiver 36 placed obliquely above the plate surface to receive the reflected light from the color filter 32 on the plate 30 during inspection time with a spectral sensitivity corresponding to brightline spectrum of the light source, and a detecting means 44 where color signals corresponding to the aforementioned spectral sensitivity output from the photoreceiver is used to create a luminance distribution of the color and then the flatness (unevenness) is detected of the surface of an over-coat layer. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transferring device and method, a display device, and a data transmitter/receiver capable of validly suppressing EMI. SOLUTION: In transferring data from the controller of a liquid crystal display device through the prescribed number of signal lines to each driver, the signal lines are preliminarily grouped so that data to be transferred can be divided into a plurality of groups, and the combination of the presence or absence of the inversion of data to be transferred is examined for each group so that the well-balanced combination can be selected so as to reduce EMI. Moreover, a control range is set, and the inversion of data is selected according to whether or not the number of 'data to be transmitted' changing against the 'previously transmitted data' is present within the control range for each group.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the device and method capable of effectively performing processing on pixel areas of a display device. SOLUTION: On each pixel area 41 on a liquid crystal TFT array substrate, an ITO transparent electrode 43, a gate line 48, a data line 46, a TFT active element 45, an identification mark 50, etc., are formed. The identification mark 50 is provided on the gate line 48 by forming a silver bar code. Since the identification mark is provided in the pixel area, it is possible to surely identify the transistor to be repaired, by detecting the identification mark, for instance, in repair processing of a TFT array substrate. Moreover, in an information processor for inputting graphics and characters onto a screen by using a laser pen, it is possible to accurately specify a locus of the pen by specifying a position of the pixel area from the identification mark detected by the pen, and to recognize inputted graphics, etc., in details.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively decrease quantity of data variation by a relatively small scale additional circuit by specifying data lines divisionally by blocks, obtaining a redundant control signal from whether or not the majority decision result of data transition in a block has priority, and using it as inversion information. SOLUTION: A D-FF(data flip-flop circuit or data latching circuit) 102 latches input data. Then EX-OR(exclusive OR) 104 compares it with the last data to make a 36-bit MAJORITY(majority decision) 106. The decision result is EX- ORed 108 with the last Invert signal and a D-FF(data flip-flop circuit or data latch circuit) 110 times the result to the data of the D-FF 102, EX-ORs 112 it with the 36-bit data, and inverts the data according to the Invert. The processed (inverted) data can be restored by subjecting them to EX-OR 114 with the Invert.
