Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remotely monitor and make controllable the seismic data acquisition by connecting a central command center supplying user interface to a local device connected to a remote device for seismic data acquisition and transmission. SOLUTION: In the monitoring system 430, a telephone system 702 is connected to PSTN 425 at an arbitrary number of commercial interfaces, a video meeting system 706 is connected to an interface 704 provided with an NT-1 adapter and the interface 704 is connected to an ISDN 420. Then, the ISDN router 708 connected with the ISDN 420 converts input data into IO base-T to send to a data analyzer 710. By constituting the monitoring system 430 in this manner and containing a plurality of local devices and remote location in a network, since the acquisition of seismic data at a plurality of remote locations can be administered in a plurality of command administration centers, the man power and time necessary for the administration can be reduced.

Abstract: An accelerometer (305) for measuring seismic data. The accelerometer (305) includes an integrated vent hole for use during a vacuum sealing process and a balanced metal pattern for reducing cap wafer bowing. The accelerometer (305) also includes a top cap press frame recess (405) and a bottom cap press frame recess (420) for isolating bonding pressures to specified regions of the accelerometer (305). The accelerometer (305) is vacuum-sealed and includes a balanced metal pattern (730) to prevent degradation of the performance of the accelerometer (305). A dicing process is performed on the accelerometer (305) to isolate the electrical leads of the accelerometer (305). The accelerometer (305) further includes overshock protection bumpers (720) and patterned metal electrodes to reduce stiction during the operation of the accelerometer (305).
